Is Beastmode playing this week?

The Beast is Back.  :hat

I hope we don't get away from throwing the football though.  Bevell loves to get conservative.

The rusty Beast mode returns just in time to be put right back into hibernation-mode

Well, that was easy.

i hate you

I honestly preferred that he played. He was pretty ineffective before he got hurt and then he's out for a couple months and comes back against one of the best defenses in the league, being rusty in 1 degree weather? Yes, please.

He could have done something, but I think it was more likely he just ruins the flow this offense has been on the past few weeks as they try to get him involved. Now even more of a percentage of the plays will be dialed up specifically for Russell. That's the only guy that scares me.

I'd gladly take a Lott clothesline if that was what it took :lol

i think texans can really take out the chefs. if that o-line plays a good game and creates gaps and give hoyer time to throw, watch out now. might have Peep Game Peep Game rockin that david carr jersey by the end of the game :Nthat

Why you do dis?

Man I just looked at my infractions and I actually got banned for a week by that Cleveland mod for saying no sane millionaire would want to live in Cleveland.

That dude is cut from the same cloth as the Los Angles Clippers.

I had forgot about it and now I'm lightweight heated.

I remember that. He really went to the ends of the earth defending both himself and Cleveland, only to get exposed that he had none of the things he kept bragging about that entire time.

Still rather have the potential of him out there. I dont think he would have ruined the flow imo...I mean the team still runs the ball a ton when he was out (well maybe the formations would have changed a bit)

Game for me falls on which Oline shows up for Seattle and on AP's production with or without Marshawn though

I feel like these dudes could have easily increased their INT totals but they would have rather killed somebody.

There's that Panthers fan now that they're good. Don't worry though he will be a ghost like the rest of them after they lose next week
You're adorable. Seriously. I post in wins and losses. I've been in these threads (Main, trash talk, etc.) for years, so please stop while you are behind.

I apologize for not posting as much as you do.

He banned my ClevelandRocks SN (with the Drew Carey avy) like 5-6 years ago for making the following joke:
Q: Whats the difference between Cleveland and yogurt?
A: Yogurt has an active living culture.

I still remember when it would be Chester V. Cleveland, OH - (Belle, AT, outacontrolmusic). Non-stop lulz.

"Cleveland's main export is crippling depression."
"This train is carrying jobs out of Cleveland."
"You can buy a house for the price of a VCR."
"See both of our buildings."
"Watch a river that catches on fire."

An intact team (with a completely healthy Linval, if he can be that) can stop Christine Michael and F-Jack on third downs I believe

The cold - to that degree - can certainly affect the passing game. Near 20-degree temps can't impact TOs but near 0-degree temps with that wind chill can, helmet to the hand has never hurt so bad. And there's history to show an increase in fumbles in identical scenarios with these temps dating back through the NFL (ppl in the media have written about that this week) and a greater sense/prioritizing ball control naturally comes out of that, meaning whoever makes less costly mistakes or wins the TO battle should actually be in position to win. The cliche never fit so well. :lol Players were talking today about how the ball will be "slick."

Teddy Bridgewater wasn't going to throw for 300+ tomorrow regardless of the weather, but maybe Russ was and now won't. Maybe.

And maybe he still will. But these temps don't affect what the Vikings were 'going' to do anyway to start, right? I mean - they're a ball-control, run-first and then-run-on-second team anyway. So, 0-0, when the game starts ... and they're not trailing or needing to stage a comeback and force feed the pass, they'll stick to the run as long as they're still in striking distance or ahead, which is important in light of the playing conditions because that's what they were going to do anyway.

Is that what the Seahawks can do confidently on Sunday?

Obviously if either team gets behind - like 14-3 at half or so - then they'll have to pass out of that, whether it's going to work for them or not.

But the Seahawks don't have Lynch definitively now, and have all season depended on Russ through the air w/o Lynch (even with him actually when he was hobbling). Russ+Rawls+40 degree MN weather a few weeks ago isn't that close to Russ+C.Michael+0 degree MN weather. Coldest game Russ has played in I saw was last year at Kansas City, which was like 23 degrees lol. Like, Rawls finished the year a long time ago but he officially ends this season with the highest YPC in the league. :lol

He's better than anyone Seattle'll have Sunday now, that's for sure based on today's news.

Michael just ran for 102 on 17 carries against Zona (which some are mixed on due to the week; impressive to me). He's had fumbling issues, part of the reason Carroll flipped him to Dallas for a conditional seventh-round pick at the beginning of this season before he made his way back.

Michael is the most talented runner the Seahawks have by a wide margin.

But his fumbling potential at 0 degrees makes me think they should and may just turn Russ into the primary RB under center basically. You at least trust him to protect the ball, and that's really what matters here. It's a cliche in most cases, not here.

Russ' legs still could be enough. Who knows what Houdini bull **** he's got coming for a game like this but even if Linval can't help outside the tackles, I'll point out now that the Vikings player responsible for spying Russell Wilson on Dec. 6 was Anthony Barr, who had left that game before playing even 10 snaps.

Oh... He Back...

I don't know, I probably posted less. I definitely still posted.

To be fair, nobody talks about the Panthers ever

, so when everyone is talking about them now for various reason (14-0, Norman vs. Beckham, Cameron Newton, etc. etc.)  it's simply natural to engage more in some friendly discussion. Hence, the thread name.

I posted more in the small NFCS trash talk thread last season. Good times. Everyone was trash.

To your last point, please beat Minnesota first. If that happens, I'm all for your trash talk for the NFC Divisional game. It should be good!
