my first pairs of NBs like a lot of ppl was from the Foot Locker 2 for whatever price its was at the time I think $79.99 in 03 I got the classic all grey and all navy 574s for my freshman year of high school

1994 NB 496 was my gateway. $40 retail and made in USA. cheaper than 574, which were around $60 at the time and too expensive for me. I was making minimum wage $5.05. after that I saved for awhile and got the 1600 which was $180 and also the most expensive sneaker out at the time.

Powder Blue 574...4th grade...mom paid for them without hesitation...chose them over Jordans before they were considered retro's...my brother clowned me and told me I was tripping picking them over Nike

Back in ‘99, my mom wouldn’t let me get a pair of J’s for my back to school kicks. I ended up with some blue/white/grey pair I found at DSW or Laux. Couple years later, got a pair of chocolate 574s that I kept for damn there 20 years

My first pair of new balances were in 2007 or 2008. Royal blue and white 574s. I've bought quite a few pairs of assorted models and colorways throughout the years. I was surprised by new balances push into popularity a few years ago.
I miss the days when I could walk into a random spot in NYC and get a pair of 574s or 580s for 40-50 dollars on sale...

I think my first pair of NB's was grey 992's in 2007 right before finishing college. My dad was really into NB's though and had some 576's and 608's that I remember from my childhood.

Pretty new to NB. I got a email from eBay about a seller I bought from having new listings and one of them were the Pastel 997s. Thought they were fire and then bought a pair. That was 2 years ago.
