Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

I was browsing Kith 998 on the bay and I came across this pair. Am I tripping or does this look off to anyone else? Seems like the midsole and toewrap/upper are different lengths and it is hanging off the edge making it look like a little bump at the tip. I don't think they're fake, just looks like a weird production error? This happen to anyone elses pairs of 998? First two pics are the one I'm looking at, the other pics are stock photos of other 998.

looks like a QC Issue. I’ve driven myself crazy plenty of times obsessing over minor QC flaws on pairs of various brands of shoes I’m 99% sure are legit

Looks like they used a midsole a half or full size down from the upper lol.

That looks like TRASH. I'd be heated if i got a pair and it came looking like that.

^^^The V5 in general is roomier than the previous V4 and other 990s due to the thinner ankle padding.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply. It even feels bigger than my v5 Marbleheads. Even tried swapping out the insoles. Quarantine has probably just got me going mad.
 
Random question:

Do people tend to say/think Nine Ninety Two or Nine Nine Two when referring to the 992?

I tend towards the latter.
