Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

Been wanting to say this for a minute but one thing I really appreciate about switching to New Balance is nowadays when I go on trips I just bring one pair of shoes, unless I need something more formal too. I go on a fair amount of 3-4 day trips. When I was blinded by the swoosh and jumpman, it’d be a pair (or 2) of retro Jays to stunt, a comfy pair for walking or stomping around, and sometimes another pair for workouts.
Anyway now I just bring one pair of sneakers for everything. And it’ll be the same kicks I’ll wear throughout the work week. I think I don’t care anymore?? These were by the door after I wore em this week for the first time in months. I was like, eh these will work. On a little 4 day vacay.

Truthfully, we really only need one pair of shoe. 😂😂😂

I’m really considering buying just one pair a year and beating it to the ground. Pick a pair that I really want, even if I have to pay resale price.

This is pretty spot on for me too. I’d bring 3-4 pairs on every trip. Most recently went on a long weekend with the family to Florida. Just one pair. Marblehead 990v4

How are yall bringing multiple sneakers in a carry on
I'm guilty of such shenanigans, being into sneakers I have to stunt on these foo's wherever I go, but I do it for peace of mind have had a couple of misplaced/mishandled bags from airlines, last trip to DR my mother in laws bag was sent on da wrong flight and by the time she got it back they clearly broke into it and took damn near half the stuff in it. Now if its a short trip lets say 3-4 days ima only need 2 kicks plus the ones I'm leaving with.

gotta be smaller sizes b/c I absolutely struggle packing size 13 lol. I've learned to make it one on foot and other packed. that's all I can manage.

I go half down with pretty much all of the made in USA pairs except for the 997. 993 should fit similar to 990v3. 991 I'm TTS as they aren't as roomy and they are a UK model.

This the way.

Jjjjound got the worst hit rate of all time I swear to gawd 🤮 trash can water

I disagree. JJJJ and Auralee color better than anybody else right now, particularly when it comes to NBs. However, it's definitely one of those things where either you dig it or you don't.

I've gotten more burn out of the grey and green Goretex 2002s than anticipated, esp. when it comes to travel and bad weather the last few months. Which encouraged my decision to scoop the black joints.

I usually bring along 3-4 pairs. When I travel, it’s usually for a RUNcation/RACEcation, so I bring along my racing sneakers, strength training sneakers, casual/lifestyle sneakers (AM/990/etc) and on feet all day (airport/flight/walking) sneakers. I’m trying to cut down to two now lol

I usually stuff my tanks, socks, boxers, etc. in them too if I can. The Ranger roll also helps me optimize the limited capacity in my carry-on

Speaking of Carry-On, there’s a new release on. Netflix that’s pretty good! Lol

Same sentiment here too! I replaced 4 pairs of shoes (2 Adidas Ultraboosts, Nike Pegasus Trail, and Nike Vomero 5s) when I got my first pair of 990v6s last year, but this would apply to my daily rotation. My Adidases and most of my Nikes would often aggravate my Achilles tendinitis too (the only Nikes that surprisingly didn't were my 2020 Infrared Air Max 90s), and switching out to NBs made such a big difference in multiple ways. So thankful for quality shoe brands. Makes traveling way easier by picking just one and going with it.

I usually travel with whatever on my feet and a pair of gr grey NBs in the bag. Goes with everything and easily replaceable if lost or wrecked.
