I dont really use reddit but that thread introduced me to viberg and now I want to save up and get pair.
Grabbing a pair of Alden 405s in a week or two and then gonna save for a pair of shell #8 boots. Talk me into Viberg for that sir haha. Just wish I had a place to try them on in person. Nowhere in NYC for it that I know of.
Next will be a pair of rare shell colors. Whiskey or Color #4...wow

I’ve been waiting on a custom order 405’s in Cigar Shell for 11 months now...Super hard to get those rare colors because the tanning process is so fickle...You pay that extra and it’s just a waiting game after that...Out of sight out of mind though...When they show up it’ll be like Christmas...

Viberg just dropped preorders on an amazing Ameretto Shell Boots a week or so ago. So beautiful. But $1300 hurts my heart. I could grab a pair of 405s and a pair of color 8 shell jumper boots from alden for that price.

Freeman’s had vibergs but recently I think they don’t. You can check online for somewhere with free returns if you have to

Where were you guys when Superfuture was a thing like 8-9-10 years ago? Some of those forum Alden specials we all put work on were flames...
The first Alden Jumper Boot was conceptualized right there on those forums and put in production by Leathersoul...#8 shell, perfed toe cap, double leather sole, heel pull tab, and full eyelets from what I remember...Truebalance last too...Probably the best boot I ever owned...Sold them and most of collection a few years ago sadly...Still have a couple pairs of 405’s and of course I’m still waiting on those Cigar’s...
Plain toe plaza last whisky shell was another amazing pair they pushed out...

I go there a lot for looking at boots. I like the looks of some of them, but I’ve tried on like Iron Rangers and stuff and they just aren’t comfortable, to me anyway. I wear boots every day for work, so the idea of doing it on my free time isn’t very exciting lol.
