Yep.  Though his legs are brittle, he's still 7'0 250 lbs, and when a smidge healthy he's a effective.

Good trade Kings/Cavs. The SF slot in Cleveland was a revolving door last season.  OC had a sophmore slump last season, but I haven't lost faith in his talents.

@SpearsNBAYahoo: Kings finalizing trade sending F Omri Casspi and first-round pick to Cavs for F J.J. Hickson, sources tell Yahoo! Sports
Hard to believe Hickson has that high of a value. But I just looked up his stats (which don't tell the whole story) and he played well after January. 16.6 PPG (modest 46.8 FG%) and 11.1 RPG.

I LOVE that deal for the Cavs.  Kings will suck anyways, now the Cavs could have 2 top end picks again (depending on the Kings pick being lottery protected and all that)

2 top 5 picks this year, maybe 2 more top 5-7ish type picks next year, and move forward from there.

Kings, eh.  They get a little more size, another talent I suppose, but they have a serious group of guys that need the ball now.  Be interesting to see what happens when they realize there's only one ball on the court at a time.

Banking on him to at least be as good as J.J. Hickson? That's not really any kind of far-fetched.

If that pick is for next year, there's a great chance that whoever they select with it (or combine with their own pick to trade up and get) will be better than Hickson, too.

And Casspi is like 24, can score and will help spread the floor for Irving.

People are going to act like the Cavs got hosed because Hickson was supposedly the roadblock for Amare, but things change, and in all reality, the trade is fine.

I guess some of you will forever believe Amare was on the table for Hickson. Which is cool, because I don't think there's proof either way, but I

at that ever being on the table.

Anywho, I'm out before someone comes with "well, LeBron chose Jamison over Amare anyway"

Oh and the draft pick is lottery protected until 2014

.  I was being somewhat sarcastic because I too have NO idea why that trade was even brought up.
Hopefully this helps us.

The Cavs could've kept LeBron by trading Hickson for another star and now they get Omri Casspi...

Good lord.

On Oden... The Blazers had to do it. Who else are they gonna go sign with no cap space? You've gotta take the chance and a one-year, $8.8M contract is not a bad gamble.
