Heat are winning Back to Back to Back. Book it right now.

No they aren't.

They won't even make the Finals next year, history tells us so.

They were on FUMES this last month to get to this point. Now they're going to add another 9 months of ball on top of that, while their main competitors have already been vacationing for the last 4-6-8 weeks. And done that for the last 3 years, while the Heat play to mid June.

Next year they will run out of gas, thru no fault of their own, they will just be on E with the light blinking, and then it will end.

87 Celts were the last team to get to 4 straight Finals, and that 87 team was broken, in shambles, and never the same ever again. 66 playoff games in 3 years will do that to a team. And the Heat are not young enough to absord that. Ray, Battier, Haslem, Miller, Wade all will lose a milimeter of strength. Bosh and Bron are young enough, but also entering a new time for them in terms of wear/tear and mileage/age.

Unless they add in 3 fresh new bodies as upgrades, it's not happening.

what's to say they don't do as the spurs do and just randomly sit guys throughout the season? i get the argument you're trying to make, but if you're biggest argument against them succeeding next year is they'll be tired then it seems weak. if anything i would've referenced the pacers coming back better with another year under their belts, a healthy d rose coming back etc, not to mention the strength of the western conference assuming miami does make ti back to the finals

Surround Bron with some new shooters, and add a solid veteran big man, and they'll be fine. At this point, all they need to do is make it to the playoffs. I won't bet against Lebron in any playoff series for the next few years with the way he's been playing the last 2 years.

isnt Lebron a free agent after next season? what if he 3peats and then goes into free agency?! the media would go nuts

If Danny Green's inability to dribble the basketball is any proof, now we see why Europeans have flooded the NBA. Americans are so piss poor fundamentally. How are you getting paid millions of dollars and can't do the first thing you're taught as a player?

Piss poor fundamentally?

If your'e American, slap yourself..

And speak for yourself..

If your'e not American, repeat both anyway..

FIrst things first Heat need to get rid of Bosh. :x

But this is the problem. Bosh at $20million will not get you a good return..

Wade used to but injuries mean the return won't be up to par with Wade's ability.

Either trade would likely be a step back for the Heat.

You obviously didn't watch Ginobili this series

As long as LeBron continues to be the best player in the game, I won't count the Heat out. And I do expect Riles to make some moves this offseason to better the team. But before I try and predict whether they will or won't 3-peat, I'm going to have see what roster changes all the teams in the league make.

Actually I did. Read the Finals thread. Danny Green was a huge reason they lost last night in addition to Ginobili and Popovich. Save the stupid *** emoticon.

Honestly, man. I can't remember seeing another player have as many awful turnovers in one game as Manu did in the last couple games. He was making passes like you see from dudes in pick up games who haven't played much ball before.

Yup, unless Spolstra makes some serious changes with the way they approach the regular season, this isn't happening again.

I feel bad for Duncan and kawhi. Played their ***** off, but everyone can't win
No doubt about. Kawhi was getting boards off the ceiling, awesome dunks and very good defensive plays. Great play by man who is only 21....who knew?!?!
What a season! Can't believe some people still hate on Lebron..I can understand if he's selfish and takes 30 plus shots a game, but when you watch him, he makes everyone better, defends well, and rebounds the ball.. A complete basketball player.. Congrats to the spurs, every year they are slept on, yet they manage to reach the biggest stage.. IMO, they are both champions!
Agreed. Both teams didn't want to back down, but Miami's bench came through.

That was tacky and classless genius and should have been done months ago by ESPN. They wouldn't have done that to anyone else but Simmons especially with the rumors of him not being a part of the show next season.

As far as Wade goes, he doesn't have that much value because of his health. His knees are shot and aren't getting any better. Don't know if there are many teams that would be willing to take that risk on him for what, two years at the most?

Since when is Bosh untradeable? Had they lost that game, his *** would have been on the first Greyhound to Charlotte.

This choke job is part of Popovich's legacy. Along with Manu, he was as big of a detriment to the Spurs if not bigger. Too bad the media is giving him a pass because he showed class last night. Last night wouldn't have taken place had he done a better job on Tuesday.

fixed

not to be captain obvious but rest will be so key for the heat next year, I don't think this is a team that's needs the number 1 seed, you don't just make 3 straight finals without paying a tax

Clippers got it next season...

But man I've been watching First Take for awhile and Stephen A. Smith picked the Spurs but he knows damn well he wanted the Heat to win. That disgusted me...
