Glad that MDA and Nash are back together. Can't wait to see something similar to SSOL again.

Why do I get the feeling D'Antoni not being able to get his teams over the hump is the new LeBron isn't great until he wins a championship narrative for the masses.
who knows what would have happened if it weren't for that silly suspension against the spurs
I wonder about that sometimes.

That Suns team was loaded and seemed primed to make a run at the Finals.

D'Antoni isn't going to be with the Lakers right away because he recently had surgery right?

Him bringing in Nate McMillan as one of his assistants is a good look.

Word is he's either coaching Friday or Sunday.. Most likely Sunday.

Adelman is a helluva lot better than Pringles too bad he wasn't unemployed when Jim Buss decided to hire/fire Potato Head. I don't blame PJack for wanting so much to coach that trainwreck bench plus four future HOFers. Jim Buss is my hero!

And D'Antoni is miles ahead of Vinny... Sooooooooooo

True but both guys still haven't won ***T! :D

Highly doubt he implements SSOL in LA.

Big J said it best though, Dantoni and the Knicks just turned into a snowball effect and everyone was counting down the days. Horrible fit, way too many transactions, etc (similar to when we got Larry Brown).

As much as i hated his "Lego Lego Lego!" and "We didnt win because we didnt hit enough shots" BS, Dantoni is a perfect fit in LA. He'll get his reputation from Suns days back.

i like DA with the Lakers. i just want Nash to get back already

Bitter Knick fans. :{

Should be thanking the man for the mess he inherited and trying to establish the ground work for success.

D'antoni should have won '07 and is a competent coach...but that Bron analogy makes it seem like he is on Bron's level of excellence which he isn't...He's an above average coach, nothing more, nothing less.

SPURS were the best team in the NBA in 07. It would have gone a full 7 but no way the suns beat the SPURS that year.

Plus if antoni should have won why hasnt he won a chip since?

His system is not built for the playoffs. Dont believe me ask Knicks and suns fans.

DMC OWNED :lol
lakers gonna get that work on Tues. :smokin

Just saw this :rollin

Suns won that title in 07, Horry deserves all the credit for that title, they weren't winning that series without the hip check.

Not that I cared, I hated that Suns team, and it's fans. :lol

Little did I know those fans were better than the other ones that were created.

He was well compensated for his trouble. He isn't some victim

We got him to rebuild a few years and to lure lebron. Once that didn't happen it became a mess and we should have parted ways
But he knew what he was in for and the media was suprisingly kind and gentle to him imo.

But hey lets see what happens.

I hate that too. We'll see. I said it in the Lakers thread, but if the Lakers don't win, it's not on the coach, it's on the other team playing better at that time. You don't blame Phil for being swept back in 2011 Playoffs, you shouldn't place blame in the future, unless it's blatantly obvious it's on the coach.

The Phoenix Suns worst thing they ever did was not having a coach that preached defensive philosophy, hopefully the Lakers will.

Plus, D'Antoni finally has the talent at his fingers.

Are you saying that Suns team with Nash, Marion, Stoudamire, Joe Johnson, etc. wasn't talented? IMO, the Suns had enough talent to get out of the West in a few of the seasons that D'Antoni was coaching them. I'm not blaming him for them not advancing further (at least not completely), but he had some pretty talented squads.

It was talented. It wasn't talented enough.

It wasn't Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, and Dwight Howard.

That Suns team was fun to watch. And the only thing that stopped them from moving forward in that one postseason was Joe Johnson getting hurt and not coming back the same. And then leaving in the off season for Atlanta. There was definitely talent there. I wouldn't blame D'Antoni for that one. They were just under-manned against a great Spurs team.

So D'Antoni realizes he'll need defensive help? Dammit :lol :{ was hoping for them to score 125 a night but lose by 10
