I honestly don't. He very well may prove me wrong, and I have no problem with that, but from my perspective, I haven't seen enough of his individual skill to warrant such franchise potential player praise.

As of right now, from what I see, Kawai lacks the individual skills and creative ability offensively to be a franchise guy. I don't see a guy who can create shots and opportunities for himself and others when I see Kawai play.

Ehhhh very hesitant yes to answer your question.

I think he has a short ceiling. Batum is very good player. I think Kawhi is a 18ppg scorer at most. Just not a #1 option. Absolutely great complimentary piece, but definitely not a franchise player.
