the difference between cp3 to lakers and lebron to knicks is lebron was a free agent like cp3 but the knicks had cap room to sign 2 max players unlike the lakers. lebron bosh and wade even udonis and miller took pay cuts to win but they arent playing for peanuts like the lake show can only offer. dallas my be in a spot to make a move since no state income tax and aWhy because I'm throwing out a possibility. Yes I'm a Laker fan so yes I'm tryna think of great possibilities. Like Bron to New York.
If CP3 and Dwight do decide to team up elsewhere I hope it's in the east. Someone gotta show the Heat some type of struggle.
I apologize, but I can't take a damn thing you post srsly with that avy.
no doubt but you got to keep it somewhat realistic. for instance you want cp kobe and dwight , you gotta hope nash retires, gasol gets traded to a team that can absorb his contract without sending back similar money, and amnesty kobe and resign him after he rehabs in 14-15 season. their best chance was the vetoed trade and the miracle that the magic would of swapped bynum for d12.^ I dig all the nuts n bolts but y'all be actin like we can't be fans sometimes. There's not one person in here who hasn't wished upon a star for some outlandish sports ****. People in Seattle still think they DESERVE a team.

Hang in there buddyI know brah, it's been a very frustrating week.
2 more days until I get my e-identity back.
It's gonna be a tough 48 hours
IMO.... the way a Lakers fan act and a general NBA fan acts, is vastly different.^ I dig all the nuts n bolts but y'all be actin like we can't be fans sometimes. You just took a nice **** all in my cereal. Ty
What is that supposed to mean?I apologize, but I can't take a damn thing you post srsly with that avy.
I bet you the Raptors wouldConsidering that no one will take Lin's salary... Rockets have $22mil between Harden & Lin.
what about horfords money on the hawks? and i honestly think houston would do better with love/ aldrige, jarret jack/ jameer, and a matt barnes coming off the bench combo than giving up asik and going all in with dwight.Considering that no one will take Lin's salary... Rockets have $22mil between Harden & Lin.
A max salary for Dwight & CP3 would be a little over $37mil combined
"A free agent's maximum salary in the first year of a new contract is never less than 105% of his salary in the last year of his previous contract. For example, a ten-year veteran free agent who most recently earned $20 million has a maximum salary of at least $21 million, even if that is above the league-wide maximum. A free agent does not need to remain with the same team in order to receive 105% of his previous salary, although the team that signs him is subject to the same salary cap restrictions as with any other free agent. "
So that puts you at the cap. That means Asik would have to have moved already, as would every other player on the roster..
Both players would be giving up money to sign elsewhere.. Unlikely that they would give up even more money..
If any team were to get both of them.. It would be Atlanta (would have to have let Josh Smith walk). Dallas has a few player options (Shawn Marion in particular) that would need to decline to have a shot.
Hang in there buddy

You guys expect greatness, not winning a title=failure, title or bust every damn season, all the good stuff, I get it.
But to me it basically means you guys have ridiculous expectation and standards.
In that same vein, with the Lakers fan's expectations, you guys have ridiculous expectations and 'hopes and dreams' with how yall throw out wild scenarios of wanting _______________ to happen. This goes on almost non stop.
"you guys think we can get Jameer Nelson or Ryan Anderson along with Dwight if we give them Steve Blake and Ron Artest"
"Pau Gasol for Love and Derrick Williams, do it Mitch"
those are real posts I've seen on NT... and I understand there are a few of you who don't throw **** out there like that all the time. But far more often than not, typical Lakers fan on NT and in realife, is just throwing **** at the wall waiting, praying, dreaming, hoping it sticks.
And in my eyes, thats not realistic and certainly not a realistic depiction of fans of other teams.

Clips shoulda traded Blake and DJ to Orl for Dwite when they had the chance. Now they will CP3 in a sign in trade to the Knicks for anyone not named Melo/Jr/Tyson. CP3 is not stayn, you know he cares about winning more than extra money. He rather run the off, pick his spots, n let Melo work. He wanted to go there from jump, when he made that declaration at Melos wedding. Watch it unfold.

whelp this needs to happen. horford goes back to the 4 his natural position , you got a 6th man in lou, and you could feel out the roster with shooters and siffs ala ivan johnson and korverCould keep Horford & Lou Williams. Then still have enough for Dwight & CP3.. With about $3mil left in cap.

As for max contracts, I think it's more reasonable that CP3 and Dwight take a few mil pay cut as opposed to a huge one like what Bron, Wade, Bosh, etc. did.
