wow the Lakers are playing MUCH better as a collective whole without Kobe. Great ball movement.
Say word?
Yeah, Who needs Kobe?

Can't wait to see that collective, Kobe-less ball movement against the Thunder in the first round. :Nthat

HAHAHAHAHAHA SPURS

Lakers for sure Finals bound now
If, by "Finals bound," you mean losing to OKC in 5 games, then I agree.
I think the Spurs could have the Lakers is 7.... probably 6

Memphis could probably take the Lakers is 5, maybe 6

Idk about Denver or LAC, your thoughts?
Doug Collins tells Sixers he doesn't want to return as coach next season
Philadelphia 76ers coach Doug Collins has informed ownership that he will resign at season's end, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Doug Collins could still stay with the Sixers in a different role. (USA Today Sports)Collins, 62, has one year left on a four-year deal, but has told management he won't return in that job. Collins' possible return to the franchise in another role – perhaps in the front office – hasn't been ruled out, a source said.

Ownership wanted him to return for the final season of a contract that would've paid him $4.5 million, one source said, but Collins informed owner Josh Harris of his decision to leave in recent days.

A 76ers spokesman couldn't be reached for comment on Sunday night.

The Sixers are 33-47 and in ninth place in the East.

After reaching the Eastern Conference semifinals a year ago – and trading for All-Star center Andrew Bynum over the summer – the Sixers had hopes of challenging the conference elite this season. Yet the season derailed when recurring knee problems cost Bynum the entire season, ultimately leaving the Sixers with nothing to show for trading Andre Igoudala and promising young players, Nik Vucevic and Moe Harkless.

With Collins leaving and organization president Rod Thorn likely to move into a consultant's role at season's end, the Sixers organization will be in flux. General manager Tony DiLeo was promoted into his job a year ago, but it's unclear if ownership will stay with him or seek to hire an ultimate decision-maker over him.

Philadelphia was the fourth stop of Collins' NBA coaching career that included Chicago, Detroit and Washington. Collins' son Chris was recently hired as the head coach at Northwestern University.
I'm not shocked at all.

Season before he arrived in Chicago, 30-52. His first two seasons, 40-42, 50-32, then 47-35 (not a drop off)

Season before in Detroit 28-54. First two seasons, 46-36, 54-28, then 21-24

Season before in Washington 19-63. Following two seasons, 37-45

Philly? 27-55, then 41-41, 35-31, and now 32-47.

You don't need to use advanced stats to predict that.

Both teams played hard.

Ska you know how i feel about the issue. Im with you about it on most nights, but not all.
Its one thing to say he costs us games some nights, which he does.
Its another to say we're a completely better team without him...because of one emotional victory.
Ball movement was great tonight, but you honestly think we have a better chance going into the playoffs without Kobe than with?

Thats all im saying.

You dont have to be afraid to discuss it with me, im not one of the dudes whose gonna personally attack you or overreact to your opinions.
I understand where you come from with your posts, even if i dont agree with everything.

If UTH drops 1 of their last 2 games:

Since LA beat GSW 3-1 this year, if they beat Houston on Wednesday & the Warriors lose out (at home to San Antonio & on the road in Portland) AND Houston beats Phoenix, then LA is #7 and they'll most likely draw the Spurs.

it's going to be awesome separating Lakers fans who just happen to like Kobe from Kobe fans who only wear Lakers' stuff because Kobe's a Laker.

that second group is going to be mad frustrated w/ any success my beloved purple and gold have now. sure, its only one game, but it's one of the best teams in the league, and I guarantee I know which Kobe fans are tight right now that we just won this one game.

them dudes, I guarantee, are hoping we miss the playoffs so they can quote me & hit me w/ "Where you at, ska?"
