Rivers' idiot self just put a target on his back for the playoffs. What a moron.

at Phillip Rivers still jawing at Cutler at the sidelines. Phillip, grow the hell up. You're not even that good. This is why you will never be a great QB like Montana, Brady, Manning, Elway, Marino, and etc. Those QB's show class.
Champ needs to just run the +#*% over Rivers.......this dude is a straight clown............Make a simple 10 yard pass first before you start talkin' trash like you some sort of God
Rivers is twice Bailey's size. I'd put money on Rivers.

Hush that. How you gonna be a chargers fan and trash talk the main guy. The leader. Rivers has proven more than any other young qb in the league next to rothlisburger, and even outperformed him to an extent. You soundin like a donkey yourself.

When he needs to be pin point accurate, there's nobody outside of favre/manning/brady I'd rather have.

Rivers has been inconsistent but reliable none the less. When he needs to be pin point accurate, there's nobody outside of favre/manning/brady I'd rather have. Yes he's been inconsistent and inaccurate on certain throws, chalk that to his inexperience. Once he works on his footwork he's good to go.
Yall gotta understand we are a west coast offense. Passing plays are designed like running plays in this type of offense.
EDIT: Leader as in QB, not captain.

Exactly. Leader. Lead by example. Yeah, the Chargers are up. Yeah, the Chargers are winning. But why you gotta act like a 5 year old and taunt. I can understand defensive players, wide receivers, and running backs. But a QB talking down to a QB? Please, I'd love to hear what Brady and Manning have to say to Rivers.
West Coast offense? When the hell have we ran slants and short passes? Phillip Rivers doesn't have the capability of running a west coast offense well. He couldn't even hang off of Rich Gannon's sack when the Raiders were killin' it back in 01-03.

So tell me why a defensive player has the right but not a QB. This is football. You guys don't have an eye for potential. If I see my QB with enough fire to taunt a defense or anybody for that fact, that means he's not scared, that means he's competitive. Thats hard to come by in a young QB, even a vet.

He wasn't taunting the defense. He was taunting the opposing QB.
I understand it's football. Yeah, trash talking happens. But come on, when's the last time you saw Joe Montana on the sideline running his lip off to John Elway when the 49ers were whoopin' on the Broncos in the Super Bowl?
I'll give Rivers the fact that he shows he has fire since he's young, but I personally do not think he has the intelligence to carry himself as a great QB.
I hated Drew Brees when he was in San Diego, but honestly, I feel dumb for even hating on the guy now. Not once, in his tenure as a Charger, even while he was struggling did he not show class like Rivers did.
I'd rather have Drew back leading the Chargers instead of this immature Rivers.

He was taunting Champ Bailey, the best corner back in the league not named Cro. I've watched games where Manning would NOT throw at this guy at all. Rivers came at him all night successfully.
And who cares about other QB's for different teams and genre's. If I'm a player. I'd rather play for a tough QB than a soft one.
And on the contrary to how good Bree's was/is. I'd rather have competitive tough QB than the supreme arm that Bree's has. Mainly considering that we are a running offense.
also I will admit, through interviews that river's seems to be missing some screws.but thats talking about his interviews, not his game.
Nonetheless, we got the W and are still holdin' the 3rd seed.
GO CHARGERS!!!
Agreed. I feel yall though, I've been hypin this guy up for years. Since Madden 06And it is disappointing to see the level of play hehas had this year, and even the chargers as a whole. But give him time, give him time. He's showed the potential, now the experience will come in to playin due time.
