Official Mitchell and Ness Thread: Jerseys, Hats, Shirts, Shorts, Questions POST EM UP

they just had a 40% off + free shipping.

they also started hiking their retail to 325 or 350 range for things that used to be 250 or 260 just a few years back.

As a Lakers fan for life, I can't believe I got some Celtics 💩 in my possession! I ended up getting this after being able to swap out an unwanted item for it. I intend to resell it to a friend who's a Celtics fan.

I got this as a replacement for the Reebok version I got rid of in the late 2000s because I was getting authentics customized through Exclusive Pro Sports from companies that used them after learning the font sizes and details would be accurate coming from them. And that Reebok version I had was a stupidly big size 56.

The font sizes and details on this one seem accurate. I also noticed the royal blue is darker on this version than the Reebok version that had a lighter shade of blue.

What’s a fair price to pay for a Karl Malone Jazz authentic I asked about it in the Authentic Jersey thread about the OG champion one. I know Mitchell & Ness stopped making the authentic awhile back so I know there kind of scare.

In addition to the sleeves being flawed on NFL jerseys due to them being too oversized, another flaw with the sleeves are the cuffed versions. The current jerseys with cuffed sleeves don't have any elasticity to them, meaning they don't grip to your arm like they're supposed to. They're basically just loose end sleeves with cuffs at the opening without the gripping effect.

But the NFL jerseys with the cuffed sleeves made in the 2000s did have the elasticity to them that did grip to your arms.

Great and material feels heavy, i like that!

I wanted to return something else i got for my bro in law as a gift, it didn’t fit welll
Thanks for letting me know, I was worried it was like the blue line type quality

You're comparing MN authentic to OG retail authentic jerseys. And OG retail authentics are a terrible standard. They are both flawed and inaccurate no matter how you slice it. If you want accuracy (+quality), the only ones you should be buying are "team issued", "game issued", and "game used" jerseys.

I was actually comparing current Mitchell & Ness versus older Mitchell & Ness jerseys regarding the cuff differences/discrepancy.

But I agree the original retail authentics weren't a good standard. I came to find out years later when I compared them to the Mitchell & Ness versions. Although the Mitchell & Ness versions aren't great either, at least they look a little closer to the game-worn jerseys, albeit with flaws. I admit I used to think the original authentics were great until I realized there were discrepancies with the cut, stitching detail, colorization and font details.

Got a great M&N story. I was in the hospital from Dec 10th to the 16th getting surgery (ileostomy) to help from having severe Crohn's. Got out and went right back in the next day due to sepsis (was THISCLOSE to having all my internal organs shutting down 😳). On the 19th, I got to my actual room in recovery (from the ER on the 17th & the ICU on the 18th to early 19th). While resting in my room, I scrolled IG and Mitchell & Ness's flagship store post came up. They were FINALLY releasing the throwback Randall Cunningham "I'm Back Scrambling" hat that coming Saturday (21st). 🫤😞

I was still gonna be in the hospital for or a while (I didn't get out until Christmas Eve around 9:00 and I got home around 10:30pm. So I was gonna miss this release as it was in-store ONLY and 1 per person). 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Saw their story that Saturday of the line of people waiting for one (at least 50 people probably more). I was so freaking bummed as I still have both hats when I was in 8th grade (wearing the "I'll Be Back Scrambling" hat and 9th with the "I'm Back Scrambling" hat).

Well, as crazy as I am, I drove the 45 minutes (from the burbs) to their store on Walnut on the day after Christmas, less than 38 hours out of the hospital to see if they had any left. Walked in, asked and they said they were sold out! 😢😢 Totally bummed out, I told the one guy there why I wanted one and proceeded to take the OG hat from my backpack to show him. THAT sparked his interest as he saw how much I wanted one (throw in being stuck in the hospital as well). Guy went to the back to see if any were left and he brought out one for me to buy! 🥹🥹🙏🙏 🥲🥲

As a lifelong Eagles fan (I'm 48 and Randall will ALWAYS be my #1 Eagle & I still wear his jersey every Sunday) this hat meant so much to me. Dude made my Christmas that morning. He really was hoping I brought the other hats I have (Randall Cunningham show, & the other QB Club hat). I got a follow-up down in the city in a few weeks. I'll swing by so they can see the other one as they plan on making the "I'll Be Back Scrambling" hat next. I can wait to get that one next.

Pics of the hats below & a shot of Randall wearing them.

Also how do you initiate a return on mitchell and ness? Seems pain in the butt

They make you jump through hoops smh. I wanted to do a simple one size up exchange on an Orlando magic warm up jacket I bought from them a while back. I got a made in Vietnam version which fit much smaller than the older made in China versions. I was willing to pay whatever return shipping as well.

They wouldn’t do an exchange. I was going to have to be on the hook for the return and they wouldn’t let me purchase the size up at the 40% off price I bought the initial jacket at.

I just said **** this and sold it on eBay instead and bought the size up I needed during the next sale they had. But they made something so simple way more difficult than it needed to be.

That’s an awesome story, great that you were able to get your hands on it!

Glad you beat sepsis, all the best in the new year.

Incredible story. They probably had that hat back there for an employee or someone to buy later  .

But even more important than that, you were even able to be here to post the story.

Thank you both for the kind words. The surgery was planned, and I felt decent when I got home but nosedived overnight & throughout the next day. Having sepsis wasn't on my 2024 Bingo card, I can definitely tell you. Having 3 separate IVs in me plus a special Midline on my upper arm, with constant heprin shots, and ampicillin every 6 hours round the clock for 7 days just wore me out.

Thank you again for the positive thoughts. 🤞 This coming year is good and I can finally go back to work. 🙏

Awesome collection buddy. I still have my OG 1991 Russell Athletic authentic Randall jersey in my closet. Still fits me too. 1991 was the first year they put the NFL shield on the yoke of the V-neck. And these jerseys were the painted numbers AND having a name was NOT a standard thing. It cost a bunch more to have the stitched nameplate on the back. Mind doesn't have it but I'm probably gonna have one added. 👍
