Rap Battles & diss records don't really do nothing for me anymore when I was in high school & college it was cool but now it just makes me yawn....The whole social media era has put a damper on rap battles dudes run to social media to get at each other then drop a diss...Then about a week later nobody remembers it people's attention span's are weak that's why rappers in this era can remain on top after diss records...I remember when everybody was coming at JEEZY neck from like 2010-2013 dude stayed cool & dropped SEEN IT ALL & people went crazy....That **** don't really matter these days cause your fan base won't leave unless you do lame **** like MEEK is doing....All those dudes that went at JEEZY in those few years took L's in the end ALLEY BOY, FREDDIE GIBBS, BLEU, dudes are non existent in rap nobody checkin for them...Gucci made himself look bad with the twitter rants & look at him sitting in a cell again.... DRAKE really didn't have to respond with a ETHER type record cause Drake fan base is Women, soft dudes(lol) & cats who just like chill music you really think they care about MEEK saying dude uses ghost writers??? In HipHop we already let to much let slide like DUDES ARE FAKE GANG MEMBERS, DUDES ARE FAKE DRUG DEALERS, DRY SNITCHING ON RECORDS, DUDES BITING OTHER PEOPLE STYLES & that's just a few things....The bottom line is diss records are not played in the clubs, on the radio nor do they crack the charts anymore so end the end it doesn't really matter they are only talked about in forums, classrooms & blogs hell dudes in the barbershop don't even talk about it no more....
