**Official Meek Mill Thread****Dreamchasers IV Out Now**

I just watched the Nelly interview.

Nelly says, it's fine when you're making hit songs. Pop records. When it comes to rap, no. It's not cool. The reference songs were rap song, not "Hold On, We're Going Home" records. Then Nelly says producers have helped him (JD, Pharrell, Timbaland) Ideas, hooks and that stuff.

Drake took the q miller's whole flow, delivery, bars, hook...not just generic bars either, personal lyrics about his real life.

I really want to know why people keep ignoring this.

It doesn't help that most these rappers who get interviewed abt the situation, are all saying they get "help"

It's no secret that some of these cats have ghostwriters, but now they all seem to be fine with admitting they get help. Had this situation not happened, none of em would admit such things. :lol

I liken this situation to how these broads are admitting they get surgery now. They used to try and hide it...talking about all they got was a fat transfer when they know they got *** shots. Telling half truths.

people really riding for Quentin Miller like that? go buy one of his albums then.

Because I'm a consumer.

Like majority of hip hop fans today.

This aint the 80's or early 90's.

The hip hop culture has been stripped, washed and raped for years now.

It's a joke.

And it's a joke you guys are still takin it this serious.

All I want is something that sounds good while I'm in the whip or running a lap,

I don't even know who Q Miller is.

Then you and I have different views on what hip hop should be, and that's fine.

Truth be told I love the genre, but I'm not one of those hop hop purist who believe everything should sound like Illmatic or some NYC circa 1992 ****.

But I DO expect people to carry on traditions and represent hip hop to the fullest, especially if you're a popular artist and claim to be one of the best in the game. So yea, I'm gonna take it seriously when somebody like that is a lowkey fraud. And I only say lowkey because we still don't know the extent of these claims. This Q Miller **** just happened THIS year, Drake has been on top for 5-6 years now, so please believe there's more.

Because q had some hotlines and drake made it a hot song. In all honesty nobody really cares that much about it except the people that don't like drake for what ever , now they have something to lean on instead of saying he just soft .

It doesn't seem like it but I'm a Drake fan. A big one.

I'm just calling a spade a spade.

All these rap ****** is lowkey frauds of some sort.

I have no beef with anyone who feels like you feel.

I honestly don't care like I stated before.

But people are really @ Drake fans necks for not caring about reference tracks.

To most of us no of this is really that serious.

If ya'll found out Jay and Nas had reference tracks some of ya'll might really commit that act

I'd laugh at the chaos while diddy boppin to Vol. 2

Hip hop been dead, let it go.

I liked this thread more when it wasn't about Meek/Drake.

At this point no ones opinion is gonna change about the situation.

I asked this before but didn't get an answer, did q miller get writing credits on rico? 8o if not that makes every song he's ever done suspect

And like skurrt said it just is what it is. If he doesn't write he's not really a rapper

Because Q himself said he didn't write whole verses that he and Drake would write stuff together. It's a bunch of ****** in here who have never been in a studio or any type of creative space talking out their ***.

I rap. I've got tapes out. I rent studio time. Several times it'll be a bunch of dudes in there writing to beats and reciting half written verses and dudes being like "that's dope let me see that". Then they change stuff move it around, spit it a different way etc. and be like how do you feel about doing it like that instead?

If you listen to a couple of Q references he says "let me try something". Drake is out on promotion, Q is on retainer as a dude to help write and refine tracks. Of course there's gonna be dozens of references of him rapping bars that you hear Drake rap. That doesn't mean he wrote them word for word or that it's even his flow.

What's ****** up is Meek knows this, OG Maco knows this, and Drama damn sure knows this. **** Meek has probably worked as a dude tightening up another rappers bars.

That's why people are ignoring the QM wrote everything rants. Because he said he didn't, if you know how the game works you know he probably didn't, and if you listen to his mix tapes you can tell he damn sure didn't invent that cadence.

The bars he gives Drake are coincidentally 1000 times better than anything he's ever used for himself, and we're to believe drake had nothing to do with that?

What's jokes is I don't even care about this. I was one of the first people in this thread roasting Drake for the lulz. I'm just tired of ****** grasping at straws and going on and on when what's really going on is they just don't like dude and his music but don't want to admit it because it'd expose them as a bunch of sour crabs.

This **** is the rap deflate-gate.

And lol at people referencing Tupac as a "real" dude who wrote all his own bars. You ****** would shed tears...

Doesn't look like he did

Let's just not forget this all started because a guy was butt hurt that another guy didn't tweet about his new album. That's about as un-hip-hop as it gets. Forget a reference track. That's soft as baby ****.

From a dude claiming to be the voice of the streets.

Drake will forever be exempt from best rapper in the game convos because of those reference tracks

Maybe in the white suburban and the black "black girls diss me so I only date white women" crowd but that ain't hip hop so that's still void

I bet that second part offended a hell of a lot of NTers :lol

people really riding for Quentin Miller like that? go buy one of his albums then.

I mean...they have...TML, Take Care, NWTS, and IYRTITL :lol

Ok so between this and q actually getting credited as a writer on his last album, why should we believe drake is the one responsible for these songs, Re: nako's rant? If it's drake's lyrics flow cadence hook why the hell is q even around and getting paid at that? Honest question, I don't be in the studio I'm not a rapper (:lol) so I wouldn't know

if drake performs back to back at the vmas in front of meek and nicki
roll.gif
 the realest performance since this
Is he scheduled to perform?

Ain't watched an award show since HS.

MTV might add a few viewers if this is even remotely a possibility.

MTV... Cmon son u know dude is gonna perform, its the pop awards. Enough with all this pop talk tho man take that **** to the drake thread please.

I don't know if this **** will still be a topic by the time the VMA's airs but by the way Back To Back taking off, that might be the song he has to perform anyways

The memes would be disgusting that night lol

MTV would probably say **** it and set up a split screen of Drakes performance and Meek and Nickis face the whole time

I mean what else would you expect a GHOST writer to say? Your whole post makes it seem like q didn't do anything but go in the booth and repeat after drake. Like I said I'm not a rapper. I play basketball, I pay gym fees but I damn sure wouldn't call myself a basketball player like I play for the lakers with kobe and them.

I'm far from a drake or meek fan but I actually had some respect for drake as an artist with some of the bars I heard. It tripped me out when he started switching up his flow then I heard the reference tracks and it started to make sense. I remember when it first came out that gilly was writing for weezy, I checked out some of his work and it was nothing like wayne. Then they fell out, gilly spilled the beans and had that freestyle on rap city and it was clear as day. So I wouldn't put anything past him based on what's said in interviews or q's individual work

That's cool let's leave it as tan. But take that drake praising to his emotional *** thread man y'all ruining a good thing we got going. When someone sparks the beef back up then we will talk about this but until then its a dead horse.

Man, all you're really doing is reinforcing my point, to be honest.

Whether he was paid or not, wrote bars and Drake changed them, whether this **** is customary, ect...doesn't really change my point of view on the practice of employing guys to write for you.

It is what it is.
