ID's came in today, these were extra special because my friend paid for them as a thank you for middlemanning so many transactions for him (the Id on the back reading Sole Exchange is the name of my middleman page). Colors on the site were definitely darker than in person (soles) but all good, I'm more than happy with them!

Dude, I've been in this for a long time.  ...and yes, I know the quality of Jordan retros is VERY low.  ...but do you expect a $170 shoe to have a razor blade cut going from one side of the toe box to the other?  Nope.  Highly doubt it.

...but, it happened...and I returned the shoe.  ...and no, I won't get hyped for more Jordan retros, but as a life long fan of the signature line, I'm pretty sure nostalgia will get the best of me at some point.  

...and yes, I copped Diamond Dunks....in a trade that consisted of a bunch of my daily wear stuff.  ...and I will use the Diamonds as trade bait to get something else I want.   ...and even if I wanted to keep them, so what?  It's a pretty sought after pair of kicks that set a lot of people back $300-$350.  What's wrong with adding something like that to the collection....especially if you're going to end up selling/trading them at some point anyway?  My collection/rotation is constantly evolving.  No one pair means that much...

It's true, though.  The very special pairs are out of my reach...and the attainable stuff doesn't have high quality.  If I could get my hands on some OG pairs that're in nice shape, I'd be happy....but that stuff is expensive and hard to come by.

Besides, I didn't mean it to sound as if I don't love sneakers.  I obviously do love them.  I just don't have any pairs that are special/important to me.  I wish I did.

Copped these today, for $120 shipped.  I'm pretty happy about that.  I prefer the Statue Of Liberty colorway...but these joints are pretty nice, too.

Atmos x Pony Slam Dunk (NY State Of Mind):  I haven't had a pair of Pony sneakers for many many years.  I hope the materials on these are as nice, in hand, as they look in the pics I've seen.  Hopefully they'll get to me by Saturday...but until then I'm using this pic.

Gonna try for the Everglades LBJ XI this weekend.  If I'm unsuccessful, maybe I'll do an Everglades ID.  I have only seen the blue sample photo, but it looks promising.  Hopefully I'll be able to grab the retail pair, though....because it's pretty much what I'd want from an ID pair.  Highly doubt Nike will allow the option of an ID that looks identical to that retail pair, but maybe I can do something pretty close if I have to.  ...and that, truly, will round out May.  It started out really slow for me, but I think it ended up pretty good (razor sliced Jordan X incident & all).
