you talking about his wife cheating from last season? cause that wasnt in this one

and yes they had to show that scene, as well as Don seeing it for himself and accepting it. Also, this episode was written by creator Matt Weiner and the writers of this show are the least of its problems, if there are problems at all

No they didn't.

And if you didn't know they hired like 8 female writers after season 2. It shows.

They had to show that scene because it was a moment of Sal finally submitting to his desires and have all those feelings of ecstasy and fear and excitement andshame rush to surface.

Edit: This car scene is reminding me of the hospital scene in the original Day The Earth Stood Still

my cousin (in her late-30s i believe) apparently grew up next door to the actor who plays sal (gay italian), she used to climb on his jungle gym in hisbackyard

I still say they didn't. They lost a lot of viewers showing it. I don't mind it though, it is just obvious female writers wrote that in.

Whatever happened to Duck Phillips?

I can't imagine them losing viewers with that unless its people who've just started watching the show, everyone I know who's seen the show from thebeginning was happy as hell that Sal finally got some.

As for Duck he tried to get Don to roll over on the deal with the Brits or never work in advertising again. Thing is, Don never had a contract withSterling-Cooper and told him to shove it, realizing he lost he went back the bottle.

this episode was very good and got very late-sopranos at the end which i love. lots of subtleties in this episode

glad to see some peggy character development and Don owning the office. Don and Peggy are very much alike.

How was it that obvious that the 8 women writers being hired after season 2 had anything to do with how that particular episode was written? Theyhave been flirting with this storyline with Sal for quite some time.

I missed the episode tonight

...I'ma try and catch it OnDemand.

after watching this great episode, and thinking if i can post about it on NT, i've realized this show can't be discussed with the people that are onNT. They cant handle it.

lol @ there being only 2 people posting in here.
Anyhow, I got into the show not too long ago was able catch to catch up just before season 3 started and it's nice watching on tv as opposed to mycomputer.
I enjoy this show so much that I even got my girl into it.

Anyway, I was kind of shocked myself to see Roger in blackface.

It`s a real smooth show. I`ve been on it since day one just wasn`t aware there was a NT thread for it

wanted to bump this cause last nights episode was AMAZING! if anyone wants to check out what this show is all about, last night hit on all cylinders.

best show on TV and its not even close. also won emmys for best drama and writing.

I love Mad Men, and I purposely avoid any threads about it because I do not want to risk the chance for a spoiler.

I thought this season was great, better than the second season. Very excited for next year.

EDIT: Betty sucks, period. I hate her and I want her to die.

There is only one woman on this show worthy of me...

TRUDY!

I had no idea there was even a thread about Mad Men, I thought about making it but I figured no one here watched it

I very much enjoyed this season, it did drag at times, but the last few episodes were great.

Don's full confession about his past life to Betty, the way they handled the JFK assassination, and finally the finale. Just brilliant stuff
