I believe that it's a good look that a team projected to win 35 games beats LAL out for a playoff spot. For our player, our franchise, it would be a fantastic look heading into Free Agency.

That being said, if teams are giving you a good first for Lou, or a goood first plus value for Tobias would you turn it down?

I'd hate to be the Front Office right now. It's not an easy decision.

I don’t think it’s up to us anymore whether we make the playoffs. I think we just don’t make it. Bron and them are for shre passing us. That’s the GOAT. It’ll be whether another tram slumps and falls behind us

I still am heavily against tanking to miss the playoffs. You wouldn’t want Shai, Jerome, Tobias (if we keep him) etc. to get some playoff experience? I think shai getting 5/6 playoff games under his belt this season will help A LOT. Maybe I’m a fool but I am a believer in postseason experience improving players.

I’d agree with this philosophy generally, but the fact that the most likely playoff scenario for us this season is us facing the Warriors in round 1 complicates things. I think it would be an easy sweep for them. So I don’t know how much value there is for any of our players in getting killed by GSW.

I actually would love that matchup the best. Facing curry 4 times when he’s actually trying 100%...invaluable experience for Shai imo. And he’d be playing with house money. We sweep and Curry avgs 35 on him? Fine. It was supposed to happen.

They're not getting away with it in the first, and it kills them in the 3rd quarter. They're 27th in the league in 3rd quarter ppg. Team is leaps and bounds better w/Lou and Trez on the floor.

Random but Porzingis, Kawhi, Jimmy, and a couple others that I'm forgetting all had the Clippers on their short list for trade destinations.

Who knows who the Clips land in FA, but it's obvious that players are and will consider the Clippers in FA and for a team that got an owner 5 years ago, that's pretty good.

Like, for the first time the Clippers will actually be able to sell the city of Los Angeles, great FO, and an esteemed well respected coach in free agency. On top of that, they put out a good product even when devoid of "stars." First time that the Clips have Ballmer, Jerry West, + a huge chunk of cap space to work with in Free agency.

Also, Lawrence and the front office have preached rather loudly about their desires to be a chip contender and a world class organization.

They do not care about the 8th seed. If the Clips were in 6th or 5th right now this convo would be different. That's why I wouldn't be surprised if the Clippers embraced the 'tank' and sell off by the deadline, especially if we're on AD's list of teams.

They traded Blake damn Griffin, no one was off the table. Interested in seeing where this goes next.

I heard Don McClean on the radio yesterday and he said he still thinks the team’s goal is to make the playoffs. That makes sense since they kept Gallo, Bev and Lou. Plus, the guys they added in Chandler, Temple and Zubac are capable players. So, we’ll see what happens. Honestly, I like where we’re at whether we make the playoffs or not.

The Clips got a potential blue chip prospect that could be thrown in an Anthony Davis deal for an expiring (Tobias)

That's like...Wow.

Shamet is being paid pennies for the next 3 seasons and the Clips got that, plus the heat's 2021 unprotected for Tobias Harris's expiring contract.
