OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

crazy, why even bother going to vegas :smh:

just rest for gods sake
I get it from his standpoint. A chance at a gold medal, which he doesn’t have. Probably figured his workload would be way less because the team is stacked and he could get by at less than 100 percent just playing limited minutes.

But going through the camp made him realize it wasn’t going to work.

I just hope that he didn't reinjure his knee or cause any setbacks for this upcoming season. My hope is that he balls out and has a fully healthy Playoff run. And once his trade value is at its peak, we trade him for some young key pieces to excel our rebuild with a mix of youth and guys via free agency coming into their prime. If the OKC and the T-Wolves of the world are the next one up, we're gonna need to rebuild sooner than later.

Trez was mad at the wrong person. Should have been trying to knock Doc out for letting him get abused 3 straight games

Liked his size and athleticism at the guard spot last year, but thought he seemed kind of offensively limited. Small sample size this SL, but the numbers his first two games are impressive. Would be nice if a draft pick could turn into another real piece for us.

his numbers last season in the g league were pretty comparable too avg 21/6/2

different level of competition/talent in the actual league, but hoping ty is able to find a way to give him some more play on the floor this season

Russ Clippers era is over. Welcome Kris Dunn.

I liked Russ as a Clipper more than I expected. Might even have been a little sad to see him go but for how spectacularly awful he was in the playoffs against the Mavs  :frown:

i loved russ in his run with okc, just an energetic menace

on the clips, i enjoyed his time there but just like the team, it was very inconsistent and you just dont know what you'll get on a nightly basis outside of the over the top energy

best of luck to brodie

westbrook is and has always been a flawed basketball player, and i really dislike his brand of flaws. however, i've grown to respect him because he comes to work every day and gives 110%.

i hope he gets a ring

oan,

this team will be pretty good at the point of attack defensively with dunn and porter jr.

add in derrick jones...defensively, we have a chance to be better than past peaks.

IMO

Watched the last few Clippers Summer league games. Kobe Brown is a pro. Does a lot of things well. If he can make open 3s, I think he’ll get minutes in the new season.

Not as sure about Miller. He’s got some talent, but he was benefitting this Summer from his offense being a bit unorthodox. Not sure he can do what he did consistently against better competition. Ceiling seems to be to another Amir Coffey. 9th- 10th guy, capable spot starter if other guys are injured.

Cam Christie can flat out shoot. Great pick. If he can bulk up as he gets older and become a plus defender, he’ll be in the league a long time.

I don’t think Diabate is a rotation NBA player. Great motor and good offensive rebounder, but struggles to finish anything other than a dunk. Makes defensive mistakes. If he was 6’11” with the same skill set/athleticism, he might be a contributor, but at just 6’8” he’s not big/athletic enough to overcome his other deficiencies.

What’s funny - in a sad ironic way - is that I bet PG thinks the stuff he’s saying is totally innocuous and won’t bother anyone.

Guy has negative self-awareness.

Got my first piece of gear with the new branding. Not bad.
