Some guys don't understand subtlety...you don't have to be an EXACT match to have a nice fit, the Prisms are flexible enough to be worn without a hat announcing, "HEY LOOK AT MY PRISMS, YOU CAN TELL BY MY HAT BILL!"

It could happen.  Maybe like how lids works.  You buy their card for 5 bucks a year and get all your hats  5 bucks off.  Nike/JB could offer us a membership card that we have to pay annually say like $50.00 to $100.00 bucks and we get all of there products at a discount.    Like  $10.00 bucks off every pair of shoes we purchase.  Only the people who buy a lot of pairs of shoes every year would  benefit from it.  Just my opinion anyway.

The reason this could never work is simple:

If Nike charged you to get discounts on shoes year round...


How would you apply the discount at Footlockers? Champs? Mom and Pop Shops?

No because they wouldnt honor a discount card from Nike when they had to pay for a shoe already and are trying to get get the biggest profit margin available.

So then you say.. no I want the discount applied to all online Nike purchases.

Well thats fine.. and dandy.. but most likely every person trying to use that will try and use it on SMU's and Energy Releases and MANY will not be able to get the few that are released on line..

Then what?

Back to the complaint that not enough pairs are made.

You'd only be able to use it at the NDC. Just as you can't use your Kroger Plus card at Publix, you won't be able to use this hypothetical Nike card anywhere else but Nike. No other store has to honor it.

THERE ARE A LOT OF NIKE SHOES THAT AREN'T LIMITED THAT THEY COULD BE USED ON BUT I SEE YOUR POINT. WITH US BEING SNEAKERHEADS, MOST AREN'T EVEN CHECKING FOR THAT KIND OF STUFF AND THE STUFF WE DO WANT IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO USE ANY DISCOUNT ON THEM.

Is it true the corks run big? In regular X's I wear a 11-11.5 how much should I size down? Half or full?

Memphis hit the nail on the head with his third point up there. Maybe these shoes are selling out now or whatever, but once shoes no longer are the "cool thing" again in a few years, Nike isn't gonna be able to sell out shoe after shoe at $200+. They're quickly pricing the true heads that Will be around for several more years out of the market while pinching every last penny out of the hype beasts and parents buyin these shoes for their kids.

No, he was just the one to leak the picture.  They are still straight from the factory, or not customized, in that picture.  It's the elite model rather than the regular X too and he wouldn't have made those from any of the other CW's that pictures leaked of before the Elite+ (even though the Elite+ releases before all of the other CW's).

Most people don't want to pay the outrageous retail price for the "Elites"..I know don't and won't unless they go sale for big discount.  I hope heads are patient with the elites and let them sit.

I really wish people would stop perpetuating this nonsense, I wore my Corks for an ENTIRE weekend, like Friday through SUnday, traveling from WI to GA and back, a lil Jason Markk shoe cleaner and application of the some cork protectant and they look DS..you kats who buy shoes and are afraid to wear them kill me, if you can't afford to wear them, then don't pay outrageous prices for them or don't buy em at all....my $0.02

Didn't I read somewhere that Nike intended for the Corks to be collector's items and art pieces more so than functional sneakers?

In any case, that's the justification I give to my non-sneakerhead friends when they ask why some of shoes haven't been worn. I'm not opposed to wearing them – sometimes it's just an issue of finding the right occasion – but I absolutely view sneakers as wearable works of art, and sometimes I prefer to display them in places that aren't my feet.

Not vehemently against people that beat all their shoes, and not going to go rage all over the people that DS all of their shoes. Just the way I like to roll.
