OFFICIAL LEBRON X+ NIKE ID THREAD

To test I decided to make my most recent pair of iD's a little more "authentic" so I made the white X on the sole red like LeBron's and will cover with the clearcoat as soon as it's dry...what do you guys think?





Tried this too on my MVP inspired pair...

Not a problem bro, however, all my pics are taken with an iPad. That a round about way of saying my pics suck? Lol... J/k. Patiently waiting to see the gold.

Dc30:  Nice job on the paint details on the soles of your ID's, wouldn't even know they didn't come that way, very nicely done.  I'm going to have to check that paint site out.  I'm already preparing myself to not be pleased with the "gold" swoosh on my Red "Championship" pack Elite ID's that get here in a couple weeks.

Thanks DW. The clear coat stuff should be here on Monday and I will seal the sole X's then. My Final's pair will also be here Monday. Will do the X on the sole in red with black speckles and do the tongue logo in red as well. This Alt pair I used pewter and I'm guessing the Gold has a more "yellowish" hue to it than pewter but very similar. That paint site might have something for the gold but I didn't look that hard yet. Painting the toe box swoosh would be tricky. Wish they matched up to the lace locks though. The pewter lace locks are damn near chrome...

I apologize for all the pictures. My main focus was to emphasize on the gold. The pics do it justice. But in person they are not as good as you'll expect. I played it safe and ordered a pair of regular Lebron X until how I see how the elites Gold color option looks like. Who knows it might be different

Thanks dude! Yeah it's a little duller than I'd like. Hoping that the CF being black has enough contrast to make it pop a little more. We'll definitely see in a few more days. I have the GM's though and they are def not as gold as that pic... I wish lol

The gold is awful, makes me want to return my pair (did the same exact ID with gold speckles instead of white)

the gold complaint is nothing new. the gold on the toe box actually isnt that bad. its just the swoosh that is too bland. but if you know how, its worth it to just paint it yourself.

Same pair I did except I used black laces. Will be painting the X on sole red with black speckles, speckle the midsole, and do the tongue logo red probably. But I think the swoosh against the CF looks good and the toe box too. Can you post any other detailed pics of the tongue logo etc? Thanks!
