Using the same laces as the Jordan's that they're modeled after. Granted standard Kobe laces would have been preferable but it is an extra step towards the theme that may be overlooked for that reason.

Agree, not the greatest quality but it fits the theme. Same with the Avar laces, fits the theme. To each their own though.

i see the throwback scheme/idea, but to charge 200+tax and use cheaper laces feels like a cop out, no? oh well. i didnt have to pay extra for new laces =)
just wondering what laces people who have avars and replaced them have used? tried looking online for something to replace the rope laces with, no luck.

The laces aren't a big deal on the Tinkers...I see what Nike was going for the same type laces on the AJ3's. I never lace swap rock em as is!
