Official Kevin Durant hate thread Haters Call To Arms! (The Haters Unification Thread)

KD thinking "I don't have to do as much on this team, especially with 2 minutes left"

Klay,Steph, and Dray thinking "we don't have to do anything when there's 2 minutes left "

This probably isn't that far from the truth :lol :lol

I wouldn't call any player , an unanimous MVP at that, asking another franchise player to join his 70+ win team after consecutive finals appearances an alpha by any stretch. None of those chumps are alphas thats why they were in the pitch meeting to get durant, so they won't have to make the big decisions like an around the back pass when a simple 2 handed one will do. or shaking off a 7 footer to get off a horrible 3.

The ironic part is that KD isn't an alpha either, thats why he joined them

Fax bee but now they have two MVP's, crazy 3pt shooting, DPOY draymond and zero chemistry

let's see how this one plays out

I wouldnt go that far and say they have zero chemistry :lol

Durant has never played with these guys, what chemistry does he have with them? People forget the first season of the Big 3-era Heat when the team struggled to develop chemistry. They eventually figured it out, but it took time.

People are so caught up in this alpha basketball talk when KD just wants to be in a environment where team concept is big. He wants to play in a ball movement, the open man gets the best shot offense. And with klay, curry, and green the flood will always be spread. It's a elite offensive player dream to play in that kind of system. He wants to win and challenge himself doing it. Some nights he will have 15-18 pts and he is clearly ok with that night. It makes the NBA way more exciting. I don't rock with the Warriors but I enjoy great basketball and this team will rival the Bron Heat as one of the most exciting teams ever.

For 29 teams that aren't called "The Warriors" this is a nightmare. Small market teams that aren't doing well are especially screwed because they essentially have to market that the GSW are coming to town to sell seats, pretty much knowing they're going to lose/get blown out.

Lack of competition hurts the league as a whole, which is why the owners/gms of the 29 other teams are likely spinning their heads at this situation.

I feel you but being a hornets fan I now know how the NBA works. Oufside the SAS no small market team is trying to win a championship. They will say they are but they are not. The last small market team to win was in 77 and that was the trailblazers

Truth

Imagine if Barkley had joined the Bulls in the 90s. Sure, he'd have a ring, but nobody would he saying he's the reason for the ring. It's like beating a game with a cheat code. Have some pride, be a leader, not a sidekick, or in this case the 3rd sidekick. You can call zsa zsa, or whatever the centers name who I've never heard of the 4th sidekick.

Completely makes sense from a basketball situation. It's going to be beautiful. Questions I have are from the competitors aspect with the way the WCF finished and how OKC was positioned for the future:

Bc they won't spend bc of the owner. Okc lost James over 5 million, they threw away their future over 5 million dollar luxury tax.

I think they will still face completion. Spurs are reloading too, I wish they would've landed Conley.

Steph is still the alpha on that team. Klay is more Alpha personality wise than Durant.

and that is what might not work out well. You have too many alpha players for the offensive plays.
Curry is not a real point guard but rather a shooting guard with point guard abilities.
Klay is not a Scottie Pippen but also a real shooter and scorer. Putting him as the 3rd option is wasting his talent.
Durant is a scorer, he needs to get the ball much to be efficient in the game. Putting him to 2nd or even 3rd option might
not work as he's not someone who can play point forward unlike Lebron who has no problems to step back in scoring and
distributes the ball when his teammates can score well.

see this is how I know the alpha male talk is stupid. Basically y'all equate alpha = scoring. When in reality Draymond is the real big dog of this squad and has been for the last 2 years. Klay and curry just put the ball in the hole but Green is the engine. They don't run their offense through options, it's based on basically a motion offense. Until it's a situation of a mismatch. So let me ask this question who is the alpha male for the USA team in rio?

MVP can mean different things...
It means more than best player on the best team. Who holds more value and must be on the floor for their team to win. Who CARRIES their team to success and without that one guy the offense and defense falls apart. The guy who can't take nights off or the team loses. Its more than scoring or being the most entertaining in the league. But nobody gets it. Everybody pays to watch offense. My MVP list is currently:

1. Lebron

2. CP3

3. Lillard

4. Draymond

5. Harden

Honorable mention: Westbrook

Dudes bugging thinking the rest of the squads in the league are scared. The Warriors about to get the best basketball of every team in the league this upcoming season. Small market or big.

A lot of those competitve players despise them because of their front running antics so them historically choking a season like that only builds more fire and less respect from competition.
