**Official Kendrick Lamar Thread 4th Studio Album ''DAMN.''Out Now**

What am I saying that isn't being stressed throughout the album. Did you LISTEN to the album or nah.

He calls a white woman a DEVIL not even 8 bars into the album. That didn't bother you but my opinion does? :lol

Not being American or not being from a certain ethnic group doesn't exclude you from being a 'Culture Vulture' Ya know.

I kinda see the first song as him criticizing rappers views of what it's like when they first get on. With the popping bottles, club talk, and then saying him saying he needs a blue eyed devil. A girl who looks to be a rapper's arm candy just to pimp the butterfly. I never took this as all blue eyed people (or white if we're interpreting it like that) are the devil. I don't think anyone should take that away from it.

Can you guys go trash the Drake or Cole thread instead of this one, pls?

Thx.

How is discussing the actual subject matter being addressed throughout the album "trashing" a thread? He made this album to provoke these type of thoughts and create this dialogue.

If you feel some how excluded that's says more about YOU than it says about us.

Pretty much.

I did listen to the album man. Kendrick is an artist and active player bro. from what I can tell you are on the sidelines fronting like you the PG. That's what bothers me about your opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong and you are in the streets promoting hiphop to empower the youths

You coming in here guns blazing telling people that this album isn't for them because their parents never had an Afro is trashing the thread, homie.

I agree w/ some of the stuff you say, but the way you're going about it is silly, IMO.

This thread is like 2 pages away from Mr Marcus calling all of us SWS'.

Now pardon me while I finish my frappuccino, :hat

Yea, no.

If I had a dollar for every time you've typed "SWS" on here, I could stop famine in Africa.

It's 2015 and ya still crying about post count and I have every right to defend trayvon, mike, and other blacks who were killed for no reason. Sorry I'm not gonna sit back and let some horse ******* nt member spew stereotypes and spew racist **** to satisfy their racist conservative views.

Yall just mad nay schooling yall on **** because your fav black artist is calling you what you are. I think it's cute how yall try to deflect and make it seem like he was saying something else. Your people love code words for the black youth but the second someone call you a devil its "he didn't mean it like that" :rollin

The famine your white ancestors caused from raping and stealing from those people!? You sound stupid

Not going back and forth with white people whose only black interaction is through niketalk and black music. Yall ******* never been to a black neighborhood but trying to school people [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

When Kendrick personally calls me a devil I'll be offended hah. Until then all white people's actions don't define me just like all black people's actions don't define you.

You couldn't be more wrong about the interactions part either but enjoy thinking you know someone based off the internet lol

lmao the hate is real.. you care a bit. It's ok if white jesus were real he forgives you too

Well I was talking that specific line about supposedly all white people being devils. It ain't that.

Yes, he's talking about racist white people here. I wasn't debating that. My posts on the last two pages have stood by me saying that not every white hip hop lover is a culture vulture. Completely agreed with it being the voice of black people and your other points. I don't stand by that joke either and I didn't say it. So that fact you quoted it with what I said and didn't put that it was from another poster bothers me a little. Love this album regardless. And its overall message.

I'm all for taking out imperialism. I think hiphop is a powerful tool as it gives a voice to those that are neglected by almost everything else. I'm all for protecting that, and ensuring it doesn't leave the hood. I agree it's been capitalized. I know the history of hiphop and how it is ingrained, and developed by black culture. I know music is a powerful tool in motivating the masses and has strong a resonance to cultural identity.

I know though that we are at most listeners. And judging his past pattern, he will let this album marinate for a minute.

So hopefully all those who are saying he's preaching their truth you have time to act and let this move you.
