I just meant why buy another 12 when I'm not even playing in (or wearing) the 12s I have, and the look of the shoe isn't doing much for me. I'll admit it's growing on me as a summer shoe though. I can't not think of an Ice Cream Truck

The blue makes them look like blue plastic pieces for a child’s play set or something. Easy pass unfortunately.

Not the person you replied to, but I think it's what I was mentioning previously.
It's the hue of the blue. I mean these things have been in like 5 or 6 or 7 different blues and for me this blue they chose just looks like the kool aid blue. The food coloring blue, that's it. It's food coloring blue. And it just connotes cheap kids toy.
Remember these old food coloring bottles from back in the day? Not the exact hue on the lid, but when you used blue food coloring, it had this look.

I’m not a fan of that shade of blue either but I don’t think it looks cheaper than any other color on an XII. If I was a Duke or Kentucky alum I’d definitely be in for a pair.

Generally, id say as long as they were stored in drier climates (i.e. west coast, southwest tend to be less humid and my ds shoes from 2008-09 still perfect wearables).
But id be weary if they were sitting in a moist hamper or stashed in somebody’s trailer/camper in Tampa.

Both my DS OG 12’s and my 2004 retro 13’s(the best retro next to the OG’s IMO) both been restored. Will post detailed pics when they arrive. This guy does an amazing job!!
