Picked up size 12 for $25 , nice everyday beater

I had a bunch of flight points expiring, so I turned them into Footlocker giftcards and decided to scoop the XI University Blue Lows.

Love them, but strangely one is laced with an appropriate ~50 inch lace (size 13), while the right shoe came with a ~45 inch lace. I can't lace the right shoe up using the last set of lace loops.

This is my 6th pair of lows and have never had this happen; is this something anyone has experienced?

Lastly, any suggestions on comparable replacement laces?

The Cherrys are nice i had those back in the days. I hope they rerelease the silver women’s low top again at some point too it’s been 25 years man… I remember buying the all white patent leather low top XI’s at Niketown on 5th. I can’t even seem to find a picture of them tbh. Great summertime shoe though.

Jordan Brand should have hooked up Kobe Bryant with some XIs in Lakers' colors to wear in games during his sneaker free agency in the 2002-03 season.

I'm sure everyone recalls he wore the III, VII and VIII that season.

Some XIs in that mix would have been nice. They could have also made them available for retail years later because they would have easily appealed to Lakers fans.

I think the brand missed out by not giving him some XIs. It would have been great marketing with one of the most popular signature shoes ever.
