The Win Like ‘82 is my favorite.yeah complex always be.
My point to post this cuz curious to see whats everyone's fav non OG cw.
Mine is the DMP
2001's nostalgia from high school but 2019 Bred's such a better release.
I was just finna say that..even the 2012 had a better outsole then the 2019 I like that rich red translucent look then the foggy darkish red tintEverything except for the cherry red sole
There is always a lot of conversation about the patent leather "height" but not as much about the actual shape of the cuts themselves. There is something about the way the patent leather on the OGs curves towards and over the toe that is the most noticeable difference to me, even more than height. I think this contributes to that more pointed toe, which just gives the sneaker a different aesthetic overall.Having recent retros in hand with OGs and 00s I think the consistent difference beyond soles is the angle on the toebox. I still find the 00's to be closer to the OGs there. I also find the recent retros to be taller than my OG concords as well. I could see why someone really likes the latter day retro shape over both though. My next project is going to be 2000 Space Jams I picked up for $77. There's also the build quality on the 00-01 retros that I factor in. The mesh structure is there still and the patent is thicker than the flimsy stuff on the recent retros even if it's not OG true patent leather.
100%, there's more material in the toebox on the retros. I think we see a similar issue with these recent 5 retros. The shape tries to be right but there's too much material in the toebox for those cuts to form to the front like they originally did. There is always a lot of conversation about the patent leather "height" but not as much about the actual shape of the cuts themselves. JB should hire us to consult on the next remaster100%, there's more material in the toebox on the retros. I think we see a similar issue with these recent 5 retros. The shape tries to be right but there's too much material in the toebox for those cuts to form to the front like they originally did.
Right but I mean the actual width of the soles.Og 11 outsoles have a more aggressive tread. Deeper grooves.
