But that might change as songs continue to grow on me.
I think Once Again is one of the best RnB albums ever . This isn't anywhere near Once Again, and I'm very disappointing. Once Again was amuch more mature album. Not enough soul for me on this one. I knew it was going to be hard for him to top Once Again but he didn't even come close withthis album. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent album and I will listen to it a lot based on the fact that I think he's the best RnB singer out but Iexpected more.Originally Posted by JapanAir21

Not too many songs that jump out too me like there were on Once Again. JL is much better by himself, I don't like it so much when he's with other artists, even though all the songs featuring other artists aren't bad, I like JL by himself. I don't like the reggae songs, that's not JL to me..
This Time, Satisfaction, Take Me Away, I Love You Love, Everybody Knows, Cross the Line are allthough.
I'm not sure if any album of JL's will ever top Once Again though, the only song that isn't a classic for me is Stereo (I use the term classic loosely, I don't mean it in terms of everyone, but for me). I also think it will take a lot for JL to top Again/Another Again/Ordinary People, ain't nothing on any of this album that comes close.
That's exactly what's wrong with this album in my eyes. Still good? Absolutely. But JL has unlimited potential for a CD, this doesn'tmaximize it.Originally Posted by NikeTalker23

Evolver is a nice laid back album. It sounds very futuristic. I'm not sure where he got the name of the album from. It's the same tired story line of boy meets girl, boy breaks up with girl, and boy questions the finer things in life.
John Legend is my dude, but he could have came so much harder in this album. We all know it.

I ain't intentionally listening to: P.D.A., Each Day Gets Better, Slow Dance(maybe) or Maxine
P.D.A., EDGB, and Maxine are among my favorites on that album.
DF!!!
Damn it was like that¿ I don't know why I never picked Once Again up, but after what you said, I'm going out today to get it.Originally Posted by eye see soles
I have to disagree. Once Again is more than just a collection of tracks, but a story told by a love-driven, infatuated man. It's what we go through in all of our lives. Legend captures it flawlessly.
That's one of the main things thats bothering me, no direction.Originally Posted by eye see soles

This album is not on that level. Musically, it may sound better in some parts, but there really is no direction. I still love it though.
