Any help is greatly appreciated.
Go to iTunes, when you see your iPhone under 'Devices' on the left hand side; right click and click backup, then when that is done, update, and then you will be able to use the back up you saved.
I don't need winpwn or anything like that? My phone is unlocked.

And since I installed the clicks I said F it and installed the theme, it's not bad... I just hate when themes don't have matching icons for all apps.... especially the popular ones.... This is also the 1st theme I've installed since my update.
what is this theme called?

I believe it is iStorm

You cannot update to 2.2 without using iTunes. You will have to plug in your iPhone to iTunes, let it update, and since you with T-Mobile, theconnect to iTunes screen will appear on your iPhone, run quickpwn, see link below to unlock/jailbreak your iPhone. Back-up your iPhone first so you do notlose any contact, text, all of that, but all 3rd party stuff (themes, cydia) will all be gone and you will have to re-download them.

ATTENTION!!!!
When you ask a question about your iPhone, please tell us if you are using 3g or 1st gen, to avoid allconfusion. It is alot easier to get you a tutorial to run on your iPhone with the device you are working with so we do not have to guess.

Thank you

HTF am I supposed to get this T-Zones hack to work? I definitely have T-Zones on my account...when I go to Network > APN and put it"wap.voicestream.com" it doesn't seem to work...and when I go back into the same menu...wap.voicestream.com is not even there anymore.

Make sure you reboot when your do that. I use epc.tmobile.com; it seems faster.

And what does 'HTF' stand for?

Plug it in to your computer, and restore; it's the only thing I can think of.

You do not need bsd subsystem.
All you need is OpenSSH for winscp.
For a full guide on using it, use this.
