OFFICIAL HOCKEY THREAD: NHL, KHL, NCAA, IIHL

rumblings about Lucic being on the block have got me uneasy. i know it wasn't a good year but that's rash IMO. you keep the core guys and keep building around them. really wish they'd look at moving Tuukka for some pieces rather than Lucic. he's a unique player.

providence class of 2014 here,

Winning a national championship and being in Boston for it was a crazy feeling. Kinda awkward times as I pass by BU on my train home so encounters after the game as I was decked out with a friar jacket.

Sosly get excited for Gilllies Janko and Gilmour

Dan Cagen @DanCagen
Gregory Campbell is not returning to the Bruins.

You can pretty much bet Claude Julien & Peter Chiarelli aren't going anywhere after being given green light by B's to speak this afternoon

i can DEAL with Claude. although i'm concerned he is absolutely going to ruin Pastrnak and Spooner's game with his defense first ********. but i cannot accept Chiarelli staying on. no ******* way.

Haggerty is speculating. One or both could still go. That said, I think they deserve second chances.

not going to call myself a fan, but i'll root for:

AO and the Caps
Calgary
anyone playing against MTL :lol

Good luck in the playoffs everyone! At least this will be one relaxing 2 or so months of playoff hockey.

People are warming up to the Tampa Bay Lightning coming out of the East. Not as if that thought didn't exist before, but it's certainly gaining more steam than it's had in the months leading up to the disclosure of the playoff bracket.

I think we're gearing up for the Western Conference to be represented by Chicago (if Kane looks fine upon his return) or St. Louis (which is unfortunate, because Minnesota drew them in the first round). The Wild have been hot, but there's been a layoff here and they've struggled to score more than two goals at St. Louis in recent history, so even their lone win there this season was a Dubnyk One-Man Show where he could only let in one goal (2-1 win) to get out of their in regulation with a victory.

Chris Stewart was brought in for physicality, and Granlund seems to cripple at the sight of the Blues. I'll be watching both players pretty closely during the series.

i don't think Tampa will make it out of the East. don't even expect them to make the ECF. Ben Bishop is not that guy, despite what his regular season stats say

Not "nervous" but this is the playoffs and anything can happen as we all know. Plus u have to worry about 2 of the top 5 players in the league in Crosby and malkin. It will not b easy whatsoever.
