the grand canyon...jesus christ
'It is definitely worth it to stay on the strip. Even if you pay a little extra, it is worth is for the convenience.
I would trust the advice of those who have been there.
Anyway, I think i am going to go back to Vegas during the NBA Summer League. Anyone care to share any past experiences?
I went last year, bring lots of fluids and if you are any kind of tall, yambs will flock to you like bugs on one of those zap lights.

Nobody has recommended anything though lol. Staying on the strip on the strip isn't worth the extra 300 bucks it would cost imo. I`m not going to vegas to party.
I'm just saying... if you are taking an Uber two times a day for 5 days it will ad up. That 300 dollar difference will become a lot less. In my opinion it is worth it to save the Uber money and pay a little more to stay in a prime location. I don't party when I am in Vegas either, but it is nice to walk outside of your hotel and be right on the strip in the middle of everything.'It is definitely worth it to stay on the strip. I took Uber last time when I was staying at the Hilton Grand Vacations Convention Center to the Mandalay Bay and back it was like 28 bucks. Think that's cheaper than most taxis.
Monte Carlo ballys ti are all affordable and center strip
Hell Excalibur isn't to far south and that's cheap as hell
Drais is taxing hard for CB this Saturday smh

Okay, I just went to the sites for both the Hilton Grand Vacations AND Mandalay Bay. I punched in the same days for each, around the time I go EVERY year (mid-July), because I'm familiar with hotel prices around then.
For Hilton, I chose a King suite (one King bed room, one SOFA bed). For Mandalay, I chose the two-queen room (which has two ACTUAL beds). That is as similar as you'll get between the two.
After taxes and resort fees, for the two nights I chose (Saturday and Sunday night), Hilton was $468 and Mandalay was $602. That's a $135 difference. Even IF you're Ubering everywhere, according to your itinerary, a ride to and from the airport to the far north strip, and a round trip to Mandalay Bay are guaranteed. See how much your "savings" shrink in just two round trips? Mandalay is FAR closer to the airport. That's a cheap ride. On top of that, you save the Hilton-to-Mandalay headache.
So, tell me again how it's cheaper to stay at the Hilton?
Because I get a massive discount staying at the hotel $59/night for a king suite. There's nowhere you're getting that deal anywhere. The Uber is nothing. All about checks and balances, I rarely gamble when I go as well so the casino aspect isn't needed. Strictly a party trip usually.

lol exactly My room at the SLS was 29 a night and after the resort fee IT was still less than 400 bucks. The only reason I switched to ballys is because it was the only one I found less than 200 bucks from the price I got at the SLS, everything else was 300-400 more and I know for a fact Uber wasn't going to cost more than 200 bucks the whole trip.
Why pay uber from SLS u can get a bus pass for the whole weekend for like $20
