From what I heard, and correct me if Im wrong.

Since the show is passing the books in certain aspects at this point Martin is guiding the writers of the show so it still follows his visions and plans for the upcoming book.

In all reality though the show could go on longer then his 1 or 2 books left to come so who really knows.

From what i've read, the main conclusion for the books and tv show will be the same....but they will get their on different paths. And the show will end most likely before the books are finished.

Show runners Dan Weiss and David Benioff confirmed over the weekend that their show would be ending in the same place as the book series, and sooner than the books as well.

Speaking to the Oxford Union, Benioff addressed the TV series outpacing the books:

Luckily, we’ve been talking about this with George for a long time, ever since we saw this could happen, and we know where things are heading. And so we’ll eventually, basically, meet up at pretty much the same place where George is going; there might be a few deviations along the route, but we’re heading towards the same destination. I kind of wish that there were some things we didn’t have to spoil, but we’re kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. The show must go on. . .and that’s what we’re going to do.

10 is impossible sticking with the main story.

They talked about Dunk and egg. which was a great story, Id bbe willing to see that and who they cast for the puppett girl.
The fights would be epic

if they do Roberts Rebellion would be better as a full movie. (going to read about that tomorrow actually) It's in the history of Westeroes book

the Dance of Dragons history was boring. and was too many Targaryeons

with all that said 10 seasons is a stretch

I know but it might be about the $$ over content.

HBO is sunk without GOT. They have no more long running series.
Wire. Sopranos. True Blood. Boardwalk Empire. All done.

True detective may or may not be consistent depends if you like the actors.

What other point is there to having the Hbo Now app aside from Game of thrones...

They 've been playing the first Incredible Hulk (eric bana terrible one) on it's main HBO 1 for the past 4 weeks.....

They better pray D&D decides to continue.

And GRRM let's them have the rights to even do other series. (since it's in the same world but not same time line or books. )

I think HBO will be fine after GoT. They will just move on and find another popular show. They don't all have top be massive hits like this. They did fine with entourage, girls, sopranos. Also they make s lot of money of boxing as well as their news shows.

Jaqen gonna teach Arya bout that life.

8o Only 4 more names 8o

But she's still saying the Mountain. Don't we not know whether he's alive or dead? Last I remeber he was looking pretty dead in that guy's lab/dungeon - the dude who wanted to keep the not-Tyrion dwarf head in the last ep.

Isnt that new show with the Rock going to be on HBO. It may have entourage type potential

Have to admit, I thought it sounded lame when I first heard the premise, but the commercials for it have me interested.

I also like Silicon Valley. It's off to a good start this season.

She doesn't know what happened at KL.

remember news travels a bit slow around westros especially if you're on the run. How would you get ravens?!

Don't you dare ever mention Girls again, quite possibly the worst show on television. and Leah Dunham the most contradictory bs actress in history..

I guarantee HBO could give a crap less about her crap show.

Besides I dont think they make a ton of money from the 30 min shows. I think Curb is the best they had and. Silicon Valley seems to be doing well

that was afterthe red wedding stuff and she's been on the run ever since she wouldn't know.

If they covered everything in the books the show could be over 15 seasons.  HBO shows I watch besides GoT is Silicon Valley and soon to be Ballers.

^^^ But she seems to know about Joff, which happened well after the Red Wedding. And was Tywin on her list at some point? She didn't say him.

Of course she heard news of the King. He's the King. You'd think if she heard that Tywin died, she'd know of The Mountain being killed unless its being kept hidden from the public that he's dead.

you might have actual caught an error. I believe Tywin was on her list, and if she didn't say his name in the last ep. then they F'd up, but I don't remember

Thats also like i said a few pages ago.with the stannis knowing about roose bolton (no one knows that).

But again if she knows about joff she may possibly know about tywin.

Because of a certain spoiler about a returning character (in the books), it's been two weeks in a row that I've expected to see that particlar person anytime they're in the woods or near rive :lol
