How was Barristan Selmy able to find her so quickly, yet she's taking so long? Obviously, she's building her army and conquering various cities along the way, but he joined up with her pretty quickly after he dipped from King's Landing...

And are there currently plans to kill her? I remember that Ned Stark was against assassinating her, but surely King's Landing has heard of her gradual rise in power (and possession of dragons).
