that opening scene was Littlefinger confessing to planning the entire thing. He said Dontos lied and that the jewel necklace was made by him, Littlefinger, and given to Dontos to give to Sansa so that she would be wearing it at the wedding. Him then showing how the werent jewels either but something that easily turned into a powder is also important. He was straight up telling you the necklace had something to do with the poisoning.

Add that to the clearly missing jewel and the fact that "someone" plucked it off Sansa's necklace last week and you have your conspiracy:

Little Finger, Dontos, and maybe another party.

The show spelled it out for all of us. They're prob not gonna delve into the planning of it any further than that. It's not a "whodunnit" anymore. We know who because he told us.

It looks like Littlefinger will tell Sansa the detail next episode, in previews he tells her "but you were invovled". IMO The breaking of the necklace was more to show her that it was fake and not some family heirloom, not that it turned to powder easily. The fact that he had Dontos there instantly to take Sansa away to him, sort of already implies that he was involved or at least knew it was going to happen. Not sure how anyone could think otherwise in regards to him knowing about it.

On the topic of Jaime: I have a lot of sympathy for the guy, thing is y'all are forgetting his past. Famb was supposed to be the heir of Casterly Rock and the immense fortune that comes with it, but in a plot to slight Tywin, the Mad King inducts him into the Kingsguard, thereby robbing him of his heir. Then famb is kidnapped and gets his hand chopped off, essentially robbing him of the only thing he's truly good at. Famb then finally comes back expecting the yambs and love from his pops but instead everyone sees him as some sort of freak similar to his brother. His supposed nephew, who is really his son, treats him like his *****. The only person who treats Jaime with any ounce of respect is Tyrion, but his ***** sister wants him dead and he's too much of a simp to speak up. So yeah, I can't help but feel bad for the guy.

TL;DR: Jaime's life sucks, I feel bad for famb.

I think the backlash to what the show did is a little over the top, considering the angle people keep coming from.

From what I understand, the show has made many changes from the book before. The biggest I've heard is "suddenly we're stabbing pregnant ladies in the baby now." But people are going at the Jaime-Cersei scene, but not putting anything on Jaime? I'm positive it's because they all wanted their romantic novel to play out between them, and NOW that's all tainted...Now...

Now the most toxic, cancerous relationship from the second this show began, is suddenly as ugly as it always was?

Am I misremembering or didn't they try to kill Bran, starting the war of five kings, cuz he caught their incest? Didn't they create that inbred demon spawn? Didn't they Lance Armstrong anyone who tried to out them? But nooooow the show made it ****** up.

In the show...Jaime was vile. He hated or didn't gaf about anyone except Tyrion and Cersei and himself. He killed kids. He killed cousins just to break out of prison. He'd do just about anything, so long as it doesn't make him look like the bad guy that he is. That's why he hates being known as the Kingslayer. Because he's supposed to be the golden child. He was just temporarily humbled last season, and liked that Brienne liked him.

The ******* is back afaic. And it seems like the people being the loudest about it, are the ones who refuse to hate him, so they need to blame D&D or Alex Graves? Because I keep seeing the passage from the book posted, and that reads pretty clearly, about as ****** up and not very consensual as it showed. The mental gymnastics people are doing to try and say...nonono, in the book it was a passionate rough sex scene next to their dead son's body, that halfway through Cersei gave consent to, so that's better!

People acting like this is the worst thing the show has ever done, or that now it's all ruined and they might as well cancel the series. I don't get it.

Jaime was offered Casterly Rock again by Tywinn in King's Landing, but he wanted to stay and "protect the king" (bang Cersei).  Can't feel too bad for him though, even if hes got nothing left, hes still a Lanniester.

It was a reality check for his character IMO. Like mronegative stated we aren't really supposed to like him. He's truly vile scum. I was warming up to him last season and after that I just can't root for the guy any longer. Tyrion still my dude though

A lot of fans like jaime. I do too. We didn't like seeing him do something bad again. I guess if you're further along in the story you might feel similar.

talking dead sucks. He interviews "celebrities" that no one cares about and listens to them say how prepared they are if the world turns to crap. Plus if the episode sucked you can't say it because its the network's show.

Following initial interviews done with "Game of Thrones" director Alex Graves about the controversial sex scene in Season 4, episode 3 "Breaker of Chains," Vulture followed up with him to allow him to have a chance to explain himself. Many fans and critics viewed the Jaime/Cersei scene in question as non-consensual rape, but Graves stands by his initial stance that the sex scene is supposed to end with Cersei wanting the sex.

"What was talked about was that it was not consensual as it began, but Jaime and Cersei, their entire sexual relationship has been based on and interwoven with risk. And Jaime is very much ready to have sex with her because he hasn't made love to her since he got back, and she's sort of cajoled into it, and it is consensual," Graves explains. "Ultimately, it was meant to be consensual. [The writers] tried to complicate it a little more with her rejecting his new hand and the state of things."

There has been some speculation that perhaps Graves did not edit together the cut of the scene, and that is why it didn't turn out the way that he initially described it. Other people suggested that perhaps the full scene was cut short in the final cut of the episode. But Graves does say this is the scene as he intended it.

"It's my cut of the scene," he says. "The consensual part of it was that she wraps her legs around him, and she's holding on to the table, clearly not to escape but to get some grounding in what's going on. And also, the other thing that I think is clear before they hit the ground is she starts to make out with him. The big things to us that were so important, and that hopefully were not missed, is that before he rips her undergarment, she's way into kissing him back. She's kissing him aplenty."

Coming back to the sexual politics of "Game of Thrones," Graves says he personally believes this scene -- and previous ones where Cersei denied Jaime sexual intercourse -- are her ways of manipulating Jaime. He also suggests that Jaime "found a soul mate" in Brienne that "he'll never recover from."

Graves words likely won't sway people who initially criticized the "Game of Thrones" scene. Zap2it reached out to comment from showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, but they declined to speak about specific Season 4 episodes.

I'm interested to know who you root for in this show?

Tyrion, Aarya, and a few new characters from the book I won't mention. Those are who I actually root for and want to see them come out successful at the end of this.

I'm interested to see where Bran's story goes, nothing to really root for there. Son is on his mystery journey grind right now.

The ppl I like are Tywin, Littlefinger, Varys, Davos, Dany and her whole crew, and Margery but if any of them die I wouldn't be angry about it. I just like their characters and what they bring to the show So other than the ppl I want to die the rest of ppl I'm just watching to see what happens to them that I don't already know about. So like Stannis is only bearable cuz of Davos and Melissandre. Jon Snow too only cuz of his situation, Ygritte and Sam.
