He’s said it himself in an interview recently. Wanted to go back to Benfica at 32 so he can give the club more of his prime years didn’t wanna go back when he’s washed. Said his initial plan was to move from City like last year or year before to a place that would suite him more lifestyle wise like the reasons you said then back to Benfica at the end of that contract.
