Yea that'll be in everyone's best interest, have a strong WC and lure in another club to take him off the clubs hands instead of having another repeat of the summer window.

Let someone like a Boehly's Chelsea handle it instead :lol

The club will be better off and so will he but just a sad situation overall though as a fan of the game, never wanna see legends going out sad and burning bridges like this.

😂😂😂😂😂.. while I won’t refute the majority of what you are saying, doesn’t change the fact the game is passing him by. He’s trying to deflect from his poor showing, I hope for him he has a good World Cup and he gets his move. There is no mythical issues at United.. it’s poor ownership and nothing more. We have a modern manager who can actually manage..just now need owners to mirror that same ambition and support him. You Liverpool fans should understand that more than anyone.. guess you forgot
He is still capable. You put him at City last year and he would have been doing what Haaland is doing.

I don't think you have to accept the interview as all bad or all good. You can absolutely disagree with the way he went about it but that doesn't mean he does not have valid points of discussion. I agree that this was a self-serving interview and there's a lack of realization that he's lost a step or two but if UTD has not upgraded any facilities since he was last there in '09 that is telling.

There really should be no coming back from this. He backed Utd into a corner. If it was a close door conversation, could have swept it under the rug and ended publicly friendly in the summer/winter. Where he goes? Don't know and don't know if he gets a spot in a top 5 time in any of the major leagues.

lol still in stage 1 i see

no one is doing what haaland is doing except haaland
especially not a crybaby washed ronaldo who can't outpace anyone anymore.
delusional.

While city is light years better than us. He’s had countless chances at United that he’s failed to bury, he looks a shell of his former self… even last season. . He’s lost that part of his game he’s no longer ruthless in front of goal. Look at him in his national team…

yeah the closet ronaldo stans are coming out in full force
hit dogs

this dude isn't the same ronaldo. y'all can deflect all yall want but he's looked terrible when he's played.

It’s funny to see United fans clutching their pearls.. this the same guy that once said he was being treated as a slave by the club and manager who he considered a father figure.. ain’t no loyalty in this game.

One last thought.. a lot of his issues he should vent towards his agent. Mendes should have informed him the joke our club had become (he’s been dealing with us for years and has players currently there) and not moving his this summer.

100% he already knew what was up from Bruno and Dalot at least before joining

Just the club was the most realistic suitor for him after his falling out with Juve and a 'homecoming' was beneficial for his brand at the time. Unlike many, I don't think Pep ever planned to actually move for him.

Feel like that was all a Mendes orchestration to get United to pounce the way it worked like a fiddle. Nothing Citeh have done before or after makes me believe they would've willingly signed up for the Ron show.

Ironically, all the gripes about the club and how they've done business in recent years are exactly part of the reason why they brought him back

Wouldn't have happened if they were ran better.

Great read
References a a book “How Soccer Explains The World” that i read in 2004ish.

America: Capitalist society but with socialist sport leagues. Owners love it.

Europe: “Socialist”society but with capitalist sport leagues. Owners say it’s unfair LOL

On a side note
That is why i love what PSG and ManCity are doing. They are showing your average joe what billionaires and hedge funds are doing to society as a whole.
Destroy main street businesses and make local real estate unaffordable? No problem…it’s the free market.

Buy out a rival club and overspend my local team? Outrageous!!! Capitalism is evil!!!

Citeh and PSG…doing more for the masses than Milton Friedman and Harvard Business School

I am a big Ronaldo fan. The interview def seemed like sour grapes, but wasn't a shock and awe type gossip interview. And obviously he isn't a top 10 player in the world any more. That is hard to deal with (for him). He will end up at Sporting or another small club...do a stint in the US and retire. This ending will all but be forgotten and he will go down as a legend.

You are naive. City's level of service is remarkable. Slot most big name Strikers in and they feasting.

Dalot with the “damn United might fine me for this” face 😭
