Surprised Botman didn't make it, been really good for Newcastle

Surprised at no Thiago or Ramos tbh. Watch them not even play Nico Williams though, stopped him from playing for Ghana with his brother by capping him for the first time a few weeks back :smh:

Also thought Balde would make it
contrary to popular opinion i don’t think nico should’ve made the squad. he’s technically not great and some frontline names left off are way ahead of him. his speed is a factor but at the highest level and later tournament rounds he’s gonna need a lot more than some wheels. i hope i’m wrong but he showed his level against barca when a defender with similar speed is marking him (balde). he looked like a kid out there.

as much as i love lucho he’s a cursed by his idealism. i understand he has a way how he plays but there has to be some options when his game plan is ineffective. borja iglesias and aspas should be on the squad. balde is better than gaya but way less experienced so i get it. not sure why he didn’t get a back up spot but his rise to prominence has been so quick.

Can someone fill me in on the GK situation for the 3 lions?
Southgate plays favorites/won’t switch anything up. That being said is Pickford is tried and true and better for NT than Everton (personal performance wise). He can’t play from the back tho. Best of the three for PKs

Pope is the dullest one but is solid all around. Can play from the back.

Ramsdale is on fire right now and has a point to prove. Footwork is impressive.

This is all with Southgate playing defensively when all the talent up front screams they shouldn’t be. Benefits Pope honestly. Boring with boring

Professionalism? The same guy that got arrested in Greece for beating up a bartender? The one who chatted **** to the fans after scoring against a group of dentists? That professional? :lol

By that he probably means accepting being benched without throwing a hissy fit over it :lol

Seen a few pundits have Belgium as a dark horse, not understanding the reasoning behind that personally.
Think their best opportunity passed in Russia last time when they made the semis and finished third.

They're still mad talented but not expecting them to better that result this time around.

Never gonna have faith in a Roberto Martinez coached squad :lol

Belgium have been a dark horse for what seems the last 12 years now.

Just lazy analysts saying Belguim.

They’ll be “dark horses” in 2024 EURO too.

I know. I guess tbf Slabhead hasn't gotten into any issues sine ETH showed up. So, kudos to keeping his **** together for a couple months in a row.

Exactly I don't see them fitting the dark horse label anymore. At this point, should be realistic given the squad.

I would have my dark horses between Switzerland, Senegal and Uruguay
