it’s a lot of money for yoro but i’m not mad at it

what’s crazy is united basically did the same thing last szn. overpaid for a player with one year left on their contract but that player was mason mount. 60 million is crazy.
If he had more than a year left Lille would've asked for even more

Not gonna hear me argue over Mount because I didn't get it with Bruno in the squad and I still don't but Yoro's 18 and hasn't established himself yet.

Young talent go for premiums without exception nowadays so not mad at paying heavily for the most highly rated defensive prospect from France since Saliba

RM going in heavy for TAA must mean those spanish reports about them cooling off on phonzy based on his form this past year might be true. can't have both wingbacks with weak defensive ability and that want to be more involved in the attack
Yea, I don't really think Phonzie makes that much sense for them compared to TAA. They have so many amazing athletes but that super dynamic passer now that Modric is old.

For what it's worth, I think a team should try and push Phonzie up the pitch to be a forward. I think he can do it and be a real goal threat.

I rather have TAA than Davies, not getting defense with either but we have left backs, and left backs are much easier to find.

Is this not true ? Same with hazard no?

How many years did rice have again? Someone remind me?

The mount one was egregious… man didn’t even feature lol

Rice's contract would've expired this summer, didn't stop Arsenal from dropping £105m last summer :lol

Hazard is easily the largest sale ever for someone with a year left and won't be beaten in a long time

Another one officially official

Club really avoided another Varane 2.0 13 years later  :pimp:

If yall somehow end up being back before arsenal get a title I’ll be toast

I brought NGolo back from Saudi in FIFA….honestly thought he retired until I saw him play for France in the Euro

West Ham? 20M? What the ****? If his fee is 20M, I need Arsenal to put the money out there, if for no other reason than to keep him away from a rival or up-and-coming squad like the Hammers. Man still has one of the sharpest minds in Europe according to the Euros.

yeah mendy being a fast defensive LB makes a lot more sense imo and then get a creative RB that wants to push up the field. phonzy's agent put him in a really bad spot. this is what happens when you have an amateur agent with no experience dealing with top clubs. seems like he's overplayed his hand a bit. we already signed his replacement and RM seems to be looking elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if we still end up extending him now cause they said his agent has reopened talks again, but the money he coulda got a few months ago won't be the same. I feel bad for him that he couldn't get the move he wanted or the salary he could've but hopefully it works out for him wherever he ends up. always gonna be a fan of his

Didn’t they try doing something like this previously

They keep doing this over and over again. The previous instance you might be talking about could either be the ban on tights for men in football or the unofficial Ramadan ban by the FFF, all from last year smh.
France's fight for secularity and "laïcité" really is a gross and barely disguised war on Islam/black and brown people's rights and freedom and them being worldwide leaders on islamophobia really should keep y'all for "# praying for Paris" when its people getting blown up by some lunatic extremist, next time could even be during the upcoming Olympics :smh:
S/o Les Hijabeuses, Diaba Konate, Hélène Bâ, Lina Boussaha, Nouhaila Benzina, Ibtihaj Muhammad and all the formidable athletes and strong women who wouldn't let fame, glory and white supremacy keep them from being their true beautiful and authentic self.
Salute to Demba Ba too (since it's the footy thread) one of, if not the realest.
