It was more a 4-4-2 but you know how pep does with one of the fullbacks coming inside Gomez was doing that so he spent a lot of time high up and Alvarez was playing as a second striker that dropped back a lot

Ideally would prefer to see him in midfield like he was brought in for but they dont really need him there right now and his evolution at LB makes it a necessity if they're gonna repeat in the CL.

He’s just so good at that position. That recovery he had vs Aspas was just mental. Kid plays with sheer effort every minute and it looks easy
