Does anyone remember hearing about Fila shoes being blamed for Grant Hill's constant ankle injuries? Particularly the GH3 design and fit. I do remember these being higher off the ground and fitting odd. I wish I could remember where I heard/read about it. Anyway, it said Fila pretty much ruined his career.

Hill's injuries really came after the 97 to be honest. In fact the turning point of his career was actually the 99-2000 season. He has expressed that doctors have rushed and misdiagnosed his injury between the latter part of his career in Detroit and Orlando. Hill to my knowledge played under the FILA contract till 2001. However, I don't believe the 6-9 models in his line were released for retail. At that point I believe they scaled back immensely. Some articles to reference:

Quality is decent imo..  not even mad i paid $86 for them

 i honestly can't remember how my og's felt, so i can't really compare... someone did mention that they felt heavy, and i'll say these don't feel heavy at all to me..  they're a  little roomy tho

sorry for the poor review but i just threw them on , so i'm gonna give it a few hours to see how they feel after that..    

edit: i think i'm gonna grab the white, navy, and red pair  even with the red reflector

Exactly, they are roomy, but fine for casual wear. And not heavy at all
