ESPN and NBA TV will cover the entire tournament, and ESPN revealed their schedule for the tourney exclusively to Awful Announcing. First of all, for those just absolutely obsessed with all things FIBA World Cup: ESPN3 will stream every single game of the tourney, all 63. Meanwhile, ESPN and ESPN2 will broadcast all of Team USA’s action, while NBA TV (English) and ESPN Deportes (Spanish) will also televise select matches.
ESPN will air a Round of 16 game, three of the four quarterfinals, the semifinals, third place game and championship from the World Cup, which is being held in Spain. Coverage begins on August 30th with Finland taking on the United States. The Championship game will air on ESPN2 Sunday, Sept. 14.
