i doubt we'll see a fallout 4.5 cause of what actually ended up happening with new vegas.
dude was so mad they made the game so easy, he quit and dropped 4 patches of his own LMAO
he wanted carry weight to affect movement speed!
(which is hilarious, because on survival mode in 4, your carry weight being over gives you -1 agility...basically the same thing.)
in fact, ALL of survival mode SEEMS like what dude described as his vision for new vegas (and it's STILL not as deep. when you were sleep deprived in new vegas, it wasn't just a status....you hallucinated)
i wish the "status" events affected the actual gameplay beyond " -1 strength" it gave a very very dope experience in new vegas.
survival mode just makes you play much slower...like 10 times slower. simple tasks like building water at a settlement become long journeys filled with multiple stops and turn-arounds to run back to sanctuary.
they definitely didn't need to make it only save on sleep (you end up getting insomnia from sleeping for an hour or two on whatever bed you can find, just to save the game....smh)
yo, HTTB, wasn't it you who put me on to skyrim?
i was like "yo, what's that game you're playing?"
and you were like "skyrim...."
and you started explaining, but at the end of every sentence you were like "it's REALLY geeky, but"
or am i imagining you as a different NTer?
a question about the mods i asked earlier but don't remember a response...
people who are familiar with mods
can they mod the actual game out (i,e. storylines, missions, etc.) or is it strictly cosmetic/playing around with physics/metrics, i.e. "this gun does 1000 damage" etc?
i assume it's the latter, because i don't see how you could, say, patch the leveling and perk system back into a new vegas style...
i'd LOVE for them to drop new vegas, remastered, with the console mod system.
i'd actually buy that for 100.
i think i prolly played new vegas through about 11 times lmao
i love that game.
the perk/leveling system was so deep (the entire game was flawless imo)
you could literally make 10000000 character combinations from starting perks + SPECIAL distribution......
everything in the game was logical....."slim build" made you +1 agility but take more limb damage, for example (since i make girls i LOVED this perk)
if you had radiation poisoning, you wouldnt just lose health, your vision would be affected, in game...
if you weren't strong enough to shoot a weapon, the kickback made it super inaccurate.
YOU COULD SHOOT THE GUNS OUT OF PEOPLE'S HANDS! (dog)
YOU COULD AIM AT AND CRIPPLE INDIVIDUAL LIMBS (dog)
a lot of that spirit was DEFINITELY lost in fallout 4.
(which i've prolly ranted about in this thread 100 times too much)
