Official Fallout 4 Thread - Release - 11.10.15

Just got to the institute and met the leader.....Mind blown.

I'm doing missions for them now. But I just don't know if they're for good or bad....

I'm trying to play both sides of the fence but I see that backfiring on me in the long run.

Decisions, decisions...

Can't wait wait for the dlc to drop

info on release date? awaitin on the COD DLC right now

I hate that none of the factions are likable. I ended up sticking with the Institute this time around. Lever 30. Just checked out the Museum of Wtichcraft. Really just side questing. All the factions suck.:(

yep

I'm at level 61 and don't want to finish the main story

I like being neutral with everyone

yep

My boy said he shot Leader as soon as he met him :lol

yep.

2nd character? this is the first fallout game that made replays completely useless. no level cap, no skill points, no karma, no A or B decisions........it's the same game every playthrough.

one of you cats said fallout 4 reminds you of farcry and i got offended....

but the more i played 4, the more farcry it was.

completely too dumbed down.

swear, i'd trade this for new vegas anyday. if they would do a remake of new vegas which allowed you to use the console mod program, i wouldn't need another fallout to drop, ever.

Wheres the fork in the road in this game start? I want to make sure I save there, so I can have all three choices. I just accepted a mission from the institute and it made a railroad mission fail so I'm assuming I'm starting to hit that point.

If you plan on getting that Fallout 4 season pass, get it now!! March 1 it raises to $49.99
mean.gif

February 29 is the last day the season pass will be $29.99..
Part of me feels like its not even gonna be worth it. But wow 49.99? F that.
I'm already passed that SMH.

I'm gonna channel my inner @eNPHAN  here and say that New Vegas did a much better job of letting you know where the line in the sand was.

So I'm pretty much good to save here and start splitting off to get two endings.

Yeah I bought it this morning. You better get more than that though cause that stuff is basically worthless.

Just unexpectedly beat the main story this past weekend. Kind of disappointed by how short it was.

Got the Institute ending. Running back through with the railroad this time.

Glad I read this thread, definitely need to cop the season pass. FO3 and FONV had solid story DLC.

Pretty sure that's only the first set of DLC.

Wouldn't be surprised if they release more in the late summer-early fall

I doubt we're only getting 1 'story' DLC.

I mean 3 & NV both had like 4 of those each. Bethesda not going to do folks like that. They learned from the "Horse Armor" debacle :lol

honestly, i'm in no rush for the DLC.

almost considered trading in this normal copy and re-copping in a year when they're selling discs with the DLC pre-packaged in (and the mod system is up and running)

almost.

they're liable to leave fallout 4 at 50 bucks for the rest of it's life. LOL

I trust Bethesda. Picked up the season pass when it was announced. Definitely worth the price.

On my second play through. Not ******* with the Minutemen this time just doing my own thing. That **** was a part time job on my first play through.

Just finished the first railroad intro mission got me the PP9 (Deliverer.) Gonna side with the BOS for a while then kill them all and side with the institute. Then Kill them all and **** with he minutemen last. Hopefully by the time I get to do all that the DLC will be out.

FYI: Today is the last day to COP your season passes.. Got mines all set :smokin

Mass Fusion is where you can make another faction an enemy

Make sure to make a save file when you reach the quest "Mass Fusion", because if you continue with this quest and side with The Institute, you will become enemies with The Brotherhood Of Steel. You are given the option to go inform The Brotherhood which becomes the quest "Spoils Of War". Continuing this quest will make you enemies with The Institute.

Siding with The Institute will also let you continue "Underground Undercover" with The Railroad.

Upon finishing "Mass Fusion" for The Institute, you will be given a quest called "Pinned" which can make you an enemy with either The Institute or The Minute Men. Simply have The Minute Men stand down through charisma dialogue options to stay allied with both factions.

You will get a quest called "End Of The Line", for obvious reasons you're not going to want to do it so you can stay allied with The Railroad. When you get "End Of The Line" a Synth will come up to you while at The Institute to relay a message to you that will allow you to continue The Railroad quests.

You can continue The Railroad missions now with no worries and get Rockets' Red Glare, which is the last of The Railroad trophies.

Once you've finished The Railroad's quests, you can go on and side with The Institute or reload your save and work with The Brotherhood Of Steel.

I passed on the season pass. I still haven't finished this game, and didn't want to kick out an extra $30, maybe down the road I'll pick it up.

Thank you for the help I really appreciate it

Are there only 3 endings then?

I did BOS and the institute endings

Only reason I bit the bullet was because the price went up today.

$30 for the season pass when a single DLC could go for like $20 is a steal. Especially considering how much Bethesda adds to the story and map with DLC.

Thought about it all day yesterday, and I just couldn't pull the trigger. Not the biggest fan of the DLC business model, but I'm sure I'll break down sooner or later. :{
