Official Fallout 4 Thread - Release - 11.10.15

lol i scrapped EVERYTHING. i kept some of the original fences for ambiance :rollin

i pictured the real estate agent like "and this property actually has original picket fences from before the war, which give it that 'golden era' charm" LOL

Over using VATS is something I've always tried to avoid. Makes it feel kind of cheap

I just started using VATS more.

I got a mutated gun that does 50% more dmg on mutants lol.

Take out the ghouls legs in VATS, makes them much easier to deal with. Your dog is a great help with them too.

enemies who carry guns; shoot their gun arm, cripple it, and itll disarm them

you can cripple legs, making faster enemies limp.

Just took back the Castle with the minute men. That was hella tough :x

REALLY helps.

i got that perk on an institute rifle, which i modded out. does 64 damage, 128 against super mutants.

then just don't level up your VATS.

i feel leveling up strength to carry 400 pounds is cheap, so i never put points into strength.

that's the beauty of this game; you play however you naturally enjoy playing.

If you haven't found your son yet don't read.

You should not be able to be in the Institute and the Brotherhood, once you join one the other should hate you. I'm doing missions for the Institute with Paladin Dan and he's expressing how much he like me and it even lets you flirt which is ........ anyways I'm running a mission and both groups are shooting at each other and I'm walking through unharmed rockets and lasers are flying and I literally walk though the entire mission how stupid is that.

This game is designed in a way that forces you to use power armor and I hate that

not even remotely true.

i haven't used power armor since the first mission in concord.

it slows me down and is noisy.

also don't want to manage power cores.

i never used normal or heavy armor in any betheda game. agility > *

i think they're treating power armor more like a vehicle in FO4, so i just keep em stashed. I found two frames last night, took the power core out, and just left them there, for later. LOL

not even true at all. I used the power armor about 3 times.. couldve gone by without even using it. Youre prob doing something wrong b

I always use power armor, I'm at level 26 and I just enjoy it, and if I had a actual power armor suit in real life I'd wear it everywhere too......well not sitting down or sleeping because you can't.

Im speaking in the sense of the radiation damage. Theres really no way to avoid it unless you have power armor. Rad meds are expensive as hell.

I did mess up having too much luck

Oh yeah true. But eh, still don't really use it like that. I kinda just deal with it *shrug*

Neither have I. Power armor looks really cool, but it's way too big and clunky. I tend to sneak most of the time, so I never use power armor.

I haven't even figured out the fusion core stuff. Do I have to charge any that I find?

How far are you guys? Have you even been through the glowing sea yet?

How could you not wear power armor?

How do you recruit people to your settlements? I only have 5 people at the sanctuary but want more.

Man I modded my .308 hunting rifle that negates 30% of damage/energy resistance into shooting .50 caliber bullets.
That sound when firing it :x
I send bodies flying with this thing :lol

Tell me if I messed up...

That first camp that Preston sends you to so you can recruit them for the Minutemen....there were 2 people sleep in the tent...I picked a pocket and one of them woke up. They started shooting, so I killed them

I am in control of the camp now but it says that I failed that quest in my logs. Did I screw myself going forward potentially, or just going to miss those 2?

I need to fix those 3 under water pipes for that guy at the Thicket Excavation site as well. I'm almost level 8.

Edit: Just looked at a video for those 3 pipes. Simple as hell to do. First thing I'm doing when  I get on today.

There is a hazmat suit with 1000 rad resist. It doesn't have any armor tho.
