I don't think there's a problem with it at all. The writers just gave themselves a way out and removed SSB as the ceiling and standard of getting stronger for saiyans. If anything this brings it back to the non god ki super Saiyan form and shows that gohan, goten, trunks, cabba and any other saiyans that come up can get stronger in new and different ways.

- SSJ2 Trunks being on Par with Goku during that spar at any point
- This new form Trunks has. It has not been explained and the fact that its on par with SSB is ridiculous and redundant.
- Super Saiyan Rose. Again, no explanation about what it is. This one is easier to deal with because I just consider it to be SSB but the origins of Goku Black causes it to be Pink
- Goku Black's origin story. Ruined the character pretty much
- Potara Fusion being introduced again and there will be some nonsense reason why they unfuse even though its supposed to be permanent.
Super is easily the worst out of all of them.

Don't get me wrong; that's the exact same reason I force myself to watch every week
But 100% straight up you can watch DBGT in Japanese and make a good case for why it's leagues beyond Super in quality

Man GT was never that bad to begin with. It had some great components. Purists and groupthink is what gave it a bad rap.

GT just didnt have one good story and SS4 is stupid. They had a chance to have the greatest Saga ever with the Shadow Dragons saga, a culmination of whats transpired across the show and over use of the Dragonballs and they turned it into a comedy show.

Man GT was never that bad to begin with. It had some great components. Purists and groupthink is what gave it a bad rap.
I wouldn't go that far. Yeah, groupthink definitely had a bit to do with it becoming outright despised over time (Lord knows that we see this on a regular basis when it comes to entertainment), but GT was also a real failure overall in my opinion. Where GT excelled, in my opinion, is that it had some great animation and music, the former of which even managed to set it apart from DB and Z, because of the use of more color early on, specifically when the main cast was flying to different planets around the galaxy. The series, more than anything else, was hurt by terrible execution of genuinely interesting ideas. The Shadow Dragons? Excellent, nice way to point out that the use of the Dragon Balls over the years really has gotten out of hand, with these sacred relics becoming everyday tools for the main characters to get out of a jam. A hunt for Dragon Balls spanning the universe? Nice, brings things back to the OG saga in DB, the reworked saga we got on Namek, and really gives us something that we haven't seen in a while, all while upping the stakes.The return of the Tuffles? Great, the Saiyan race naturally screwed over a lot of people back in the day and it's always nice to see a villain who was genuinely wronged turn up again for revenge. All of those sound ******* amazing on paper, but were just badly handled. Super 17 is honestly the weakest idea of the lot and even that could have worked for a mini-arc. And of course i've said time and again how I personally consider SS4 to be the perfect combination of the original Oozaru form and the later Super Saiyan transformations. Again though, we just got bad execution across the board, so that every single saga ended up feeling weak. Super isn't without flaw either of course and whether or not its flaws are worse than GT's is just up to personal opinion of both. If nothing else, the first two sagas in Super were a waste of time, always will be, and showed a distinct lack of creativity.

I can agree with that. Ssj4 was always an awesome form to me. And it seems like they took some ideas from it when they made Ssjb. It took tremendous ki control to attain that level whereas ssj4 required control of the beast so to speak to reach(unless you're Vegeta). And the arcs may have been weak but GT wasn't the Goku and Vegeta show, everyone still played a part. Hell, Pan and Bulma were integral parts of the Baby saga.
