the thing I think people are forgetting is that Vegetto never unleashed his true power. He toyed with Buu the whole time and was most certainly stronger than Kid Buu. He's probably stronger than Zamasu and clearly he's not going to kill Zamasu, but he's certainly tearing his body up. Look at dude's face and arm next episode. He might live forever, but if he's crippled, he won't be a threat anymore.

Saying that he CAN'T take them out is wrong in my opinion. More like he just hasn't taken them and won't because of plot and we know that's not gonna happen. But if he forces them fuse he could completely eradicate them separately of he wanted too. Atleast that's how I see it.
