Lmao is this your first DBZ discussion? You can't take a single frame from a single page of the manga, which translated BY FANS, and use it with zero context. I read what he said and context still applies. He fends off an unsuccessful attack from goku and basically says "that might have worked in the past, but not anymore" and then sends goku flying. And if we're going by what vegeta is saying only are we going to ignore what he says in literally the same chapter?

No I'm not saying vegeta is stronger. My stance is that they're equal or close to it. My point is he was taking that excerpt from the manga where vegeta said the one step behind Line as the end all be all to vegeta being weaker simply cause he said that line when in the same chapter vegeta states that he's stronger. Point is you can't pick and chose lines without context. Can't pick and chose what you consider physical evidence if they come from the same source

Whis said the same thing in the movie tho. I mean c'mon man. Vegeta wouldnt transform to ssj blue if he really didnt have a chance. Dude just couldnt catch up with goku and was ending up punching shadows and trees.
Lets be real tho. If goku takes things a lil bit seriously. We all know he would end this ******* with vegeta.

I agree. Now its starting to flow a lil better. They are strarting to go DB route with these comedy stuff which is refreshing actually. Krillin tho..dude seemed like he knows this joke about him dying instantly and ****.

I was gonna mention that, but Vegeta had just met future trunks, i know they spent what half a year in the hyperbolic chamber, but still he didn't raise that Trunks. Vegeta didn't even tell him to ease up on getting too brolic, and trunks got slow.Cell murked Trunks and Vegeta flipped out then got slapped around. Cost Gohan a functioning arm in the process too.
No hate though because that's one of my fav Vegeta moments and I like the character.
They were basically in that chamber separately.

They def trained that full year.
I could give you the argument but Vegeta gave that sappy monologue and then went postal. In a way I think that made him pay attention to the Trunks he actually fathered.

This show has a huge plot issue. How is Goku of all people supposed to be tolerating much less befriending a guy whose sole purpose in life is to destroy planets and killing billions?

I think they're returning to a theme that goku can become friends and change the heart of anyone. Similar to dragon ball.
