Official DragonBall Z Thread. R.I.P Akira Toriyama. You will be missed

Man, they should just skip the Revival of F arc. There's no way this show is getting good ratings in Japan

As per Manga leak today, they are headin straight to resurrection of F arc. Champa (fat beerus) apparently destroyed the last group of freezas soldiers and that made sorbet and crew started to locate the Dragon balls to wish back freeza.

So i don't know when will goku and vegeta learn to tap to their god power. But i think thats their way of introducing Champa for the universe 6 saga later on

Hell no, because Resurrection of F>>Battle of Gods, easily.

They should tone down on the filler though and just retell the freaking story so we can move onto new material. At this rate around a third of this series is just going to be retelling the previous two films.

Finally watched Ep 10. Beerus gave goku that work!

Vegetas face the entire episode :rollin

i feel like the true god mode is going to tie into being ssj4

the early pictures of super had goku & vegeta with tails grown back out 8o

plus this show is lowkey hyping up for them fusion dance into gogeta...probably the way we'll see a "ssj4 god"  is gogeta

would explain the redhair for godmode

I dont feel like SS3 hairstyle will work in god mode. Hopefully they do something different with SSGSS3

i dont think we'll be getting ssgss2 or ssgss3. especially since toriyama said we wouldnt be seeing them much anymore in regular super sayain form either. from goku atleast

SSGSS is enough. Toriyama needs to stop with all of these transformations and focus on the ones he already made, and throw some shine towards other characters not named Goku.

I sincerely hope that the rest of the fight's in this series are better than this one. :{

Im enjoying this fight so far. They havent even really got started so IDK what the complaints are for.

Some of you need to rewatch the Frieza Saga and see how ridiculously drawn out DBZ was. 32 Episodes just on Frieza :x

DBZ Kai was able to cut it down to 18. That means that 14 episodes of time was straight gibberish.

Length of a fight has nothing to do with whether it's good or not. This just plain hasn't been a good fight, in the same way that Goku vs Beerus on King Kai's planet wasn't a good fight. There's no tension, too much comedy, and the action we've seen has been mediocre.

All the fights so far just show how far beneath Beerus everyone is. I enjoyed watching Goku fail at landing a single blow to beerus in King Kais planet just for Beerus to KO him with next to no effort.

Your complaint just seems ridiculously silly considering the first real fight hasnt even begun.

And as with everything else, i'm basing my statement on what's happened so far. (Fear the Walking Dead is *** right now. It might get better down the line, but right now its *** and that's what it is.) And to expand upon it, by that I mean less comedy and moving straight into the action, as most of the fights in Z entailed. Even if the fight gets better from here on, and I don't expect it to last much longer, that's 2 episodes wasted on it regardless. Goku vs Frieza had more talking than probably any fight in the series, but the action was always 100% on point and had me on the edge of my seat, even before Goku achieved the Super Saiyan transformation. It in turn then helps that while Frieza was stronger than him, that wasn't a clear domination as it is here. One-sided fights lack any amount of interest, and the prior mentioned comedy does nothing to help the series either. Be extension, the fight in the manga and in the original movie were both leagues better than this, despite the fact that they were shorter, because they moved into the action, ramped things up, and never looked back. We also didn't have to go through any BS of Beerus dominating Goku. It was just Goku vs Beerus, matching each other blow for blow, much like Goku vs Frieza was.

The fact that at the end of the day this entire arc is literally just padding to take up time from what we already saw during the movie does little to help matters, as very little of what's going on seems relevant in the grand scheme.

I consider myself a huge DBZ fan but Super is trash to me. Im trying to hold off my judgements till after they get past the two movies but right now its not worth watching at all. There are way too many animes that have came out recently that are completely better in every aspect. Nostalgia cant save this series.

sort of same feels..

i guess i set my standards low for this or something, but although i wish the pace would pick up and get to some action, this is pretty much the pace that most mainstream anime move at. I never remembered dragon ball z as a particularly fast moving anime. Im also not as affected by nostalgia i guess because i never really stopped watching dbz. Ive watched and rewatched different sagas and arcs pretty consistently over the years and this has still got my interest. New dbz is almost always going to keep me entertained

It's because they're re-adapting two movies everyone has already seen. Once they get beyond these arcs I expect the series to pick up.

i dont mind the re-adaptation though. Although the end game may be the same things are definitely happening differently from minute to minute. Which is new enough for me to keep watching lol

I'm just happy there's new dragon ball content. It's like the story could only get so much more ridiculous before it's like "eh".
