Official DragonBall Z Thread. R.I.P Akira Toriyama. You will be missed

Maybe they can fix the stuff they did horrible in the two new movies.

cough gohan cough vegeta cough

cough also frieza cough

The way the crowd was actually pushing Vegeta around seems to suggest some of those humans are on par or even stronger than base Vegeta. He's mad because even regular people can over power him.

Seems like Vegeta is going to take Ls and get washed every Sunday guys.

Vegeta sure gave up on that accepting that Goku is better than him thing really fast though.

I've been watching everything without a dub but it's pretty self explanatory overall. Might learn some Japanese in the process :lol

Vegeta shows no affection for his family... he prolly treat Bulma like a jumpoff in the bedroom

Saw episode 2. Now I am confused about the timeline.

Super is a direct continuation of DBZ and the recent movies are an alt universe? I was under the impression that Goku from the recent movies would travel to another universe.

They're weaving the movies into Super and probably giving them their own arcs.

Alright. I guess the confusion came from the subs i read.

The subs I read said beerus was asleep for 30M years instead of just 30 like the movie. So I was thrown off.

I don't want Frieza to have a story again
the idea of him being resurrected was ehh to me at first, was wondering how on earth could he be relevant with the enormous power gaps that have developed... then when I found out he went from below ss1 namek Goku to stronger than ssj god Goku in 3 months of training smh ***** I hope they cross that whole thing out. I know this show has had massive power ups, but that was just ridiculous man.

2nd Chapter of the manga came out yesterday, which details Beerus and Whis travelling to King Kai's planet, and the fight between Beerus and Goku, just like in the film. At this point I think it's just becoming more and more clear that the last two films are being adapted for Super, with slight changes being made, such as the fact that instead of BoG taking place like 3 years after Kid Buu its taking place only a few months. However, Beerus mentioned in both the film and Super that he slept for 39 years beforehand, so its just basically pushing everything forward in the timeline from what I can tell.

If thats the case they can skip the entire Revival F plotline. I agree that training 3 months and going from weaker than SS1 to stronger than SSJGod is a stupid plotline. Also dont care to see him again.

Yeah that power-jump was dumb as hell, but from the scenes i've seen of it, the movie itself is alright. Adapting it into an arc could also give us a more prolonged battle between Goku and Frieza, which i'm not against. I mean, if he has to come back we can at least get a solid fight out of it.

Frieza is just overkill. Goku wrecked him on namek and by gods grace he managed to survive. He came to earth (thought that was pretty cool back then) and Trunks effortlessly beat him. Then we see him in a filler episode right after the cell games where pikkon easily defeats him in. Once again we see frieza in a non cannon movie "Fusion Reborn" where Frieza escapes from hell and Gohan laughs at him being a threat and proceeds to take him completely out in one punch lol.. AND lastly, in DBGT (non cannon) goku as a kid goes to hell and defeats frieza like its nothing..
