**Official Dr. Dre Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre Thread **Album Out Now**

Dr. Dre & DJ Premier are working on something, could be for the soundtrack

I don't really care if Dre puts new music on the soundtrack.

Its an NWA soundtrack, give me some unreleased stuff, some new NWA stuff and throw in a couple of their classics to put younger cats on to what made them what they are.

To me, that's not Hip Hop music. That's some Pop/Rap/Fake gangsterism. I like everything he did from NWA, DOC, Chronic, part of Doggystyle. That's pretty much it. He still had a lot of Hip Hop element in those sounds with the west coast gangster touch. I'm more partial to the New York sound, hard, dirty drums. So Dre doesn't spark any interest for me.

:rollin :rollin this is funny for all the wrong reasons

Hip Hop been dead, my man.

Primo embodies the essence of Hip Hop culture. Dre embodies the essence of business and making club songs. That shhh ain't Hip Hop. Apart from the philosophies, the sound, the music -- one is Hop Hop, the other is Rap.

Primo produced songs for Christina Aggielaura tho...he's not hip hop

Premo > Dre but Preme never produced The Chronic :hat That evooooolved music.

That evooooolved music.
I disagree. The Chronic is a classic Hip Hop album that brought a whole new sound, but it just started going downhill from there for California mainstream Hip Hop. Everybody started using that sound but it's so generic and weak. You got soooo many misfits especially the Sureno rappers. Omg, they took that "g-funk/talkbox" sound to whole other level of wackness. Where's Tim Dog to make sense of this...

"Having that gang war
We want to know what you're fighting for
Fighting over colors?
All that gang **** is for dumb mutha*****s"

Tim Dog dissed Compton and all the rappers out of there, and he's still alive hustling women out of money. Gangsters? I think not.

NWA was a gimmicky group. This film looks like garbage. The real NWA was Public Enemy.

This has gotta be thee number one thing in music that people pretend to really want but NOBODY actually gives a **** about.

Can we all collectively just acknowledge that nobody actually cares?

If Dre's drums here aren't hip hop, then you don't know music.

Dude touched on the standard hip hop patterns YEARS ago and just kept evolving. He might not have evolved into something you personally like, but he's changes his style each time he drops new music while others are stuck in the eras he left behind.

Haven't heard this in a minute. Repped.

Tim Dog is dead b

:lol

Welp. Here's to the West returning to the top of hip hop again. What a setup with TDE and others warming it up for past few years.
